Jaden Smith Stars In Rich The Kid’s New Music Video, Says He And Sister Willow Are ‘More Awakened’ Than Other Teens

Jaden Smith knows who to call to get into the hip-hop industry, according to XXL Magazine. That’s why the 18-year-old son of Will Smith agreed to star in Rich The Kid’s latest music video, “Like This.”

Rich The Kid is one of the most promising hip-hop artists of this year. The 24-year-old rapper is preparing to release his debut album, Get Rich, later this year, and to attract people to listen to his music, he got a young and hugely popular celebrity, Jaden Smith, to appear in his latest music video.

Jaden Smith is not only an actor, who stars mostly alongside his father, Will Smith, but he’s also a rapper and social media guru. Earlier this week, Jaden proved that he has what it takes to collaborate with prominent hip-hop artists.

In the music video, Rich The Kid and Jaden Smith are dancing and swimming past all the negative energy and showing off their expensive clothes, accessories, and cars. The track, which was dropped by the rapper two months ago, was produced by the Lab Cook.

Jaden Smith turned 18-years-old this summer, so the fact that he used quite a few swear words throughout the song shouldn’t worry Will Smith too much, as he probably now considers himself old enough to say whatever he wants!

Interestingly, Jaden Smith and Rich The Kid had never planned to make a song together, but then they met in Los Angeles while skateboarding and started bromancing. Despite his close ties to the hip-hop industry, Jaden is best known as an actor in such films as After Earth and The Pursuit of Happyness, both of which starred his celebrity father.

Jaden Smith has previously collaborated with such artists as Justin Bieber and Kid Cudi, and last year he even dropped his EP titled This Is the Album, which comprised of six songs. The 18-year-old son of Will Smith currently stars in Netflix’s The Get Down, which tells the story of the birth of the hip-hop scene in the Bronx during the 1970s.

In his latest interview with Time magazine, Jaden Smith sat down alongside his 15-year-old sister, Willow. The two were interviewed by “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams.

Willow and Jaden Smith admitted that they are “the yin” to each other’s “yang,” despite the fact that they both share a love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But the teens can apparently get philosophical as well.

When Williams asked them what questions they have for the universe, Jaden Smith asked, “Where is the love?”

“I feel like a serious revolution needs to take place in order for human beings to evolve in a way where we can truly exist as a society.”

But that’s not the only question that keeps Willow and Jaden Smith awake at night, as the 15-year-old daughter of Will Smith wondered how humans are going to start taking responsibility for the actions they take.

Although Jaden Smith is pretty active on social media, he said he is trying not to get sucked into the addictive and the all-absorbing social media. In fact, both Jaden and Willow admitted they are working to set an example for their peers around the world to follow.

“Even for people like us who have an awareness that’s slightly more awakened, it still takes over your mind.”

When asked where she sees herself in the next 10 years, Willow Smith said she sees herself somewhere in the mountains, cooking a squirrel in a tent.

“I want to retreat back to living off the land and just being in nature, experiencing life in the most pure, natural way possible.”
