Taylor Swift And Lady Gaga Support Selena Gomez In Health Crisis: Does Justin Bieber Care?

Selena Gomez recently announced her decision to take a break, canceling her tour and citing symptoms associated with lupus as the reason. Now others are showing their support for the singer’s announcement, including Lady Gaga. In her discussion of why she supports the pop princess, Gaga also offered insights into why she feels artists like Selena often struggle, pointing out the emotional price that celebrities pay for their fame.

In her discussion of why she supports the pop princess, Gaga also offered insights into why she feels artists like Selena often struggle, pointing out the emotional price that celebrities pay for their fame.

Gaga, 30, talked on September 13 about her own decision to take time prior to her new album in order to form a “human connection.” The interviewers (radio hosts of KTU 103.5’s Cubby and Carolina Bermudez) pointed out that some artists are not willing to take a break, noting how the 24-year-old “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer had halted her Revival Tour to focus on her health, reported Hollywood Life.

Asked if the “fame thing” actually requires taking time off, Gaga pointed to the isolation of fame.

“Fame is…very isolating, something that takes a moment for you to stabilize yourself, especially if you’re really in it for the music, or your craft.”

In explaining her reasons for taking a career break, Gomez had revealed that her lupus causes anxiety, depression, and panic attacks, reported ET. Lady Gaga also expressed her empathy for those emotional issues, defending Selena’s decision by discussing how being a celebrity can shift the focus from being an art to playing the fame game.

“Suddenly, it’s about keeping up with your career,” mused Gaga. “Or keeping up with number ones, or being on top.”

While Gaga is observing and analyzing Gomez’s situation based on her own career, someone else who has been close to the pop princess for years is also offering support. And that’s her pal Taylor Swift, who wants to have a special girls’ weekend once Selena is feeling better, an insider told Hollywood Life.

Taylor, 26, has been Gomez’s best friend for years, and Swift is determined to step up along with her girl squad for some rest and relaxation, including a pampering session.

“As soon as Selena’s feeling better, Taylor has promised a girls’ weekend…[her girls’ squad] can pamper themselves at a health spa.”

Swift just went through her own struggles after her highly publicized romance with Tom Hiddleston, 35, ended, and has reportedly gotten some consolation from her best friend.

With both Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift on her side, Selena has support, but where’s her former boyfriend Justin Bieber? Gomez and Bieber recently battled it out on Instagram, with Selena taking potshots at Justin when he scolded his fans for throwing shade at his new girlfriend Sofia Richie, reported E News.

“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand,” posted the Biebs. “If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

The other half of the couple once known as Jelena stepped in and shaded her former boyfriend, advising him to keep his romance with Sofia private.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only.”

That resulted in accusations of cheating from each, with Selena claiming that Justin “cheated multiple times,” and Bieber responding with an accusation that she had cheated with Zayn Malik. Although the “Sorry” singer subsequently exited Instagram and Gomez apologized, it’s been radio silence between the two ever since on social media.

But is that recent battle on Instagram the only reason that Justin has failed to step up and support his former girlfriend as she struggles with lupus? Hollywood Life’s insider revealed that Bieber is all about Sofia and his tour these days, and between focusing on Richie and coping with his demanding tour schedule, he has no time to think about his former girlfriends.

“He hasn’t reached out to her because he is doing his own thing and his own tour and he isn’t spending his time worrying about her,” explained the insider. “He’s really loving his relationship with Sofia, and as long as Sofia is in the picture it looks like it will remain that way.”
