The Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts game in Week 2 NFL action is one of the most anticipated games of the upcoming week. Both teams are expected to be contenders in the AFC at the end of the season, although the Broncos are widely viewed as the better team at this point in time.
Over the last few years, Peyton Manning has been at the center of attention when the Broncos and Colts faced off. Indianapolis doesn’t have the defensive backs capable of sticking with both Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Trevor Siemian should throw for 350 yards and three touchdowns, assuming the Broncos put the football in his hands early and often.
Andrew Luck Will Back Up His First Game with Another Big Performance
Indianapolis was able to breathe a sigh of relief after seeing the way that Andrew Luck played on Sunday against Detroit. He completed 31 of his 47 pass attempts for 385 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Luck will back that first game up with another big performance against a very talented Denver secondary.
C.J. Anderson Will Rack Up 150 Total Yards, Three Touchdowns
Denver opened their season with a surprising victory over the Carolina Panthers. C.J. Anderson was a big reason for his team coming out on top, carrying the football 20 times for 92 yards and a touchdown, while also catching four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Anderson will rack up at least 150 yards and three touchdowns this week against the porous Colts’ defense.
Antonio Cromartie Will Record His First Colts’ Interception
Even though Siemian should have a big all-around game, Antonio Cromartie will intercept him. Cromartie didn’t make much of an impact for the Colts against Detroit, but he will make his presence felt for his new team this week. Indianapolis may only make one big defensive play, but that may be enough to give them a chance to pull out a win.
Denver Will Come Away with a Hard-Fought Win
Looking at the matchup, the Broncos are a better all-around team. There is a chance that Luck and the Colts could shock the Broncos, but it will take a perfectly played game. If things go as they should, the Broncos will pull out a hard-fought win over the Colts and improve to 2-0 on the season.
Expect to see this game live up to the hype that will surround it throughout the course of the week. Both teams are battling for positioning in the AFC and there will be a little bit more on the line than a normal regular season game.
