Malin Akerman’s pregnancy has only been public knowledge for a few days, but the 34-year-old actress has already started showing off her small baby bump and discussing her apparently “random” cravings.

The Swedish-Canadian star of The Heartbreak Kid appeared with husband Roberto Zincone at the Environmental Media Awards in Burbank, California on Saturday where she spoke to Us Weekly, revealing to anybody not clued-up about human pregnancy:

“I’m about three months now. It’s just the beginning!”

She added:

“[The pregnancy] is so new and early, [but I crave] the most random things – fries and grilled cheese sandwiches, and everything that’s bad for you. But it tastes so good.”

While fries and grilled cheese sandwiches are pretty much my diet every day, this is apparently a dramatic shift for the healthy-living Akerman, who described the pregnancy as “sort of planned”:

“We took the goalie out of the net and said, ‘Let’s see what happens.’ Because you never know how long it’s going to take. We got lucky.”

The Rock of Ages and Wanderlust star also talked up her marriage to the magazine, revealing that, while she and Zincone occasionally got mad at one another, the pair quickly make up:

“We barely bicker. We’ll sort of fume at each other and then we’ll figure it out.”

The child will be the first for both Malin Akerman and Roberto Zincone. The two met when they were both in the same alternative rock band, The Petalstones. Akerman was lead singer while Zincone was the drummer.
