Honey Boo Boo And Family Take Trip To Coca-Cola Factory, Sugar Bear Still In Wheelchair

Honey Boo Boo and her family have been criticized for using a mixture known as Go-Go Juice — made from Mountain Dew and Red Bull — before Honey Boo Boo’s pageants, so it only seems natural that, when it came time for a family outing, her clan decided to check out the source of sugary, caffeinated drinks.

The tiny reality show star and her family recently checked out a Coca-Cola factory in Atlanta, Georgia, the Daily Mail reported.

The outing involved Honey Boo Boo along with her half-sisters Lauryn, Anna, and Jessica and her father Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson. The outing also marked one of the first times Sugar Bear has been seen out since returning home from the hospital.

Sugar Bear was sent to the hospital a few weeks ago with a foot injury he suffered while riding an ATV. The foot became infected, and Perez reported that Honey Boo Boo’s dad underwent surgery to remove infected tissue from the wound. Afterward, there was a period where doctors thought they might have to amputate, but luckily his condition improved enough that he avoided the procedure and was released last week.

During the family’s outing at the Coca-Cola factory, they watched a 3D movie about the secret ingredient of Coca-Cola, posed by the American Idol chair, and sampled many varieties of the carbonated drink.

Honey Boo Boo and her family might soon be able to afford more visits to the Coca-Cola factory. TMZ reported that TLC gave the family a raise to $20,000 per episode from the $5,000 they had been making . They were reportedly also offered a bigger house, but mother June declined.
