Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Instagram War Included Cheating Claims: Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik Hurt?

Every war has its victims, but did the war of words on Instagram between former sweethearts Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez victimize Zayn Malik and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid? The battle began when Justin (prior to exiting Instagram) clapped back at his fans for throwing shade at his new gal pal, Sofia Richie. Then, in a move no one predicted, Selena entered the online battleground, noted Us Weekly.

Bieber had issued a threat that he would make his Instagram account private following the attacks on Sofia. Gomez started by dissing him in the comments and then alleged that Bieber had cheated on her when they were a couple while describing herself as being forgiving and supportive.

“Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad.”

And that’s when Justin used Zayn as a weapon on the war of words.

“I cheated.. oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” asked Bieber.

Selena had previously made a comment about dating Malik (who now is in a romantic relationship with Gigi Hadid).

“If [Zayn] had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him,” confessed the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer. “Just kidding, but not kidding.”

Has being included in that war involving reciprocal cheating allegations impacted Malik? Zayn has been struggling with anxiety, and Hollywood Life reported indications that his anxiety might be getting worse.

Malik, 23, had a major performance planned for Dubai. However, he exited plans for that gig, referencing “extreme anxiety” as the reason and confessing that he feels he lacks the confidence to perform successfully, according to Hollywood Life.

Zayn was seen on a date night with his girlfriend, Gigi, in New York City, holding onto Hadid in the crowd with the supermodel leading the way. Malik looked serious, and he has been candid about struggling with anxiety to the extent that he pulled out of his October Dubai show.

“Dear Fans I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances…I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October,” wrote Zayn in his September 6 apology. “I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon.”

While Malik has discussed his anxiety about performing, did the Instagram accusations that Gomez cheated on Bieber with Zayn also affect the singer’s relationship with his girlfriend, Gigi?

Life & Style cited a source who claimed Hadid had ordered Malik to end all contact with Selena following Justin’s cheating comments, and Gossip Cop investigated that allegation.

Life & Style’s source said that Zayn and Gigi were having relationship problems specifically because of Malik’s contact with Gomez.

“Gigi has seen [Zayn] texting Selena several times, and she is not OK with it.”

The insider also described Hadid as having staged a confrontation with Malik after Gigi viewed “Selena’s name on his phone,” telling him he needed to cut contact with the pop music princess or risk ending his romance with the supermodel.

“He’s following Gigi’s orders because he doesn’t want to lose her,” added the source.

However, Gossip Cop’s insider reported that the incident did not occur and that Hadid never ordered Malik to cut off contact with Gomez.

In addition, Hollywood Life’s insider reported that even though it’s never good to discover that your boyfriend has been accused of involvement in another woman’s cheating scandal, Gigi is coping with the situation just fine.

The Instagram cheating claims that Bieber made did leave the question open as to whether Zayn and Gomez ever actually hooked up. However, Hadid and Malik aren’t letting the drama jump-started by Justin and his former girlfriend hurt their romance, added the source.

“Gigi is…happy and in love with Zayn, she’s not going to let Justin and Selena’s drama come between them.”

Hadid believes Malik and is not concerned about what happened in the past, according to that insider.

“They are young and in love and having the time of their lives, she’s not worried about yesterday,” summed up the source.
