Jana Kramer Talks About Being A Single Working Mom, Joining ‘DWTS’

Jana Kramer just started a new journey on Dancing With the Stars, but a lot has changed in her life recently. The country singer is now a single mom trying to balance it all. This isn’t the first time Jana has been on television, though. She was on the hit show One Tree Hill, but at the time, Jana didn’t have a daughter to take care of as well. People got the chance to talk to Jana and find out how she is making it all work. Kramer has a 7-month-old daughter, Jolie Rae, who keeps her busy.

When it comes to being a working single mother, Jana shared her thoughts.

“It’s definitely hard just because we’re so busy with rehearsals and being on tour and also wanting to spend time with Jolie. I’m trying to manage it the best that I can and show single moms out there that we can do it. We can do it all, hear us roar.”

Jana is going to be someone that single moms everywhere look up to now. She is showing that you don’t have to give up on your passions to be a good mom.

Of course, Jana Kramer never thought that she would be a single mother. Just last month, she separated from former NFL tight end Michael Caussin. He is the father of her daughter, Jolie. When the two split, Kramer spoke out to her fans by going to Instagram. She shared a photo with her daughter along with the following comments.

“I just wanted to say thank you to my fans for all the love. This has been an extremely hard time but Jolie has given me more strength than I ever thought possible. Your continued support means the world too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This season you will get to see Jana Kramer on Dancing With the Stars with her partner, Gleb Savchenko. They are already practicing and it sounds like things are going great for them. Jana has been out on tour in addition to doing the show, but somehow she is making it all work. Fans can’t wait to see how Jana Kramer dances when the show starts Monday night. If she is going to make it far, Jana will need her fans voting for her every week, though.

Jana Kramer hasn’t stopped working hard on her music either. Sounds Like Nashville shared that Jana just released the music video for her new song, “Circles.” This video is captured in black and white. Jana performs to the camera in this song showing that she isn’t shy about having the camera watching her. This is going to help her on DWTS. Of course, there are actors and actresses on the show like her, but some people that do the show aren’t used to the camera being right in their face. If you have seen Jana in concert, you know that she can move around on the stage, but ballroom dancing is something totally different.

Kramer explained why she decided to put out “Circles” as her next single from her album.

“The lyrics talk about piecing together a broken heart and at the time, when I first heard the demo, that’s what I wanted to find. It was the hopeful song for my album.”

Now Jana Kramer is dealing with her own broken heart, but luckily she is pushing through. Dancing With the Stars will give Kramer something else to focus on.
