Mike ‘The Situation’ Eyeballs ‘Bachelor’ Gig After ‘Shore’ Wraps

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is already trying to line up his next gig after Jersey Shore wraps up its final season. The ‘Sitch is reportedly lobbying for the title spot on the next Bachelor.

MTV’s popular reality show Jersey Shore is finishing up after six seasons, and with only Snooki and JWoww having landed a spin-off, the rest of the cast members are probably starting to think about what they want to do next. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has an idea already lined up. He would love to be the next Bachelor, reports Gather.

When asked by Ryan Seacrest on his radio show if he would be interested in taking part on the program, Sorrentino replied, “I would. Yeah. I would be very, very genuine. It would be a good show!”

Whether or not Sorrentino is finally kissing his party days goodbye and looking for true love or simply seeing The Bachelor as another excuse to “hook up” with “hot chicks” on the air and get paid for it? Presently unknown.

But the interview did cover a wide variety of other topics, including his reasons for checking himself into rehab:

“Because I knew I had to shoot Jersey Shore in 6-8 months, and I wasn’t going to be able to do a production if I was having trouble doing a one day appearance!”

And whether or not he’ll ever work things out with cast-mate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi:

“I’m willing to work it out. She’s a beautiful person, and we had an awesome relationship. If I had to guess it…I was probably a bit immature, and I didn’t treat our relationship as friends as well as I probably should have.”

Audio of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s interview with Ryan Seacrest is below. The final season of Jersey Shore starts on October 4th at 10pm (EST) on MTV.
