Taylor Swift And Katy Perry Could Team Up For Tom Hiddleston Breakup Song If Taylor Does This

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry may finally end their longstanding feud just in time to team up for Taylor’s next album. However, Taylor has to swallow her pride and apologize to Katy if she wants to collaborate with her rival.

One of Taylor Swift’s famous friends, model Gigi Hadid, recently revealed that the pop star is working on new music. On Friday night, Gigi talked to Entertainment Tonight backstage at the Tommy Hilfiger runway show. The model said she was thrilled that her busy BFF made it to the New York Fashion Week event, and she also broke the big news about Taylor’s return to the studio.

“She’s obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that,” Gigi said.

Taylor released her last album, 1989, in 2014. She’s earned a reputation for penning tunes about her famous exes, so she had everyone guessing which male celebrities the songs on the record were about. Entertainment Tonight speculated that most of the tunes were about One Direction singer Harry Styles, with a few songs about Connor Kennedy (“I Know Places”), Taylor Lautner (“How You Get the Girl”), and Jake Gyllenhaal (“I Wish You Would”) thrown in the mix.

It’s now widely accepted that one of the songs on 1989 was also about Katy Perry. As the Inquisitr previously reported, “Bad Blood” is likely about Taylor’s beef with the “Dark Horse” singer. Taylor allegedly penned the song because she was upset with Katy for convincing three backup dancers to leave Taylor’s Red Tour for her Prismatic World Tour. Taylor accused Katy of trying to “sabotage” her, and she said that they became “straight-up enemies” after the incident.

Taylor Swift never mentioned Katy Perry by name during a 2014 Rolling Stone interview about their feud, and Katy responded in a similar manner. As Billboard reports, she took to Twitter to warn the world to “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

However, now Katy Perry is using Twitter to extend an olive branch to Taylor Swift. As People reports, one of Katy’s followers recently asked her if she would consider collaborating with Taylor.

“If she says sorry, sure!” Katy responded.

Since her last album came out, Taylor Swift has loved and lost Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. If Taylor does collaborate with Katy, simply looking at the brunette beauty’s face may make it easier for her to revisit the pain of her split from Tom. As the face morph video below shows, the resemblance between Tom and Katy is pretty uncanny.

However, Katy may prefer to collaborate with Taylor on a diss track about Calvin Harris. Just like Taylor, Katy has a reason to dislike the male singer.

Taylor and Calvin ended their relationship on a sour note after Calvin told radio host Ryan Seacrest that he couldn’t see himself ever making music with his then-girlfriend. This statement upset Taylor because she had already secretly penned the song “This is What You Came For” for Calvin. According to TMZ, Taylor decided to use a pseudonym on the songwriting credits so that her involvement wouldn’t “overshadow the song.”

Calvin Harris’ behavior has also upset Katy Perry. According to E! News, he got a rise out of the “Rise” singer by pulling out of her U.K. concerts at the last minute in 2011.

“I’m used to you canceling on me, it’s become ur staple!” Katy tweeted in response to his actions.

Katy Perry may avoid becoming the subject of another Taylor Swift song by making amends with her former rival, but Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris better brace themselves for Taylor’s latest batch of breakup tunes; her sixth record will undoubtedly be followed by a storm of speculation about which songs are about them.
