Gwen Stefani Gets A Little ‘Tongue-Tied’ When Talking About Marrying Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani got a little “tongue-tied” Friday when talking about her relationship with Blake Shelton and whether or not they’ll get married.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the Rich Girl singer flubbed her way through a question about whether or not she thinks she’ll ever get married again.

Gwen got a bit flustered by the question and began stuttering as she tried to answer the former American Idol host’s question, according to Wonderwall.

“I don’t know! God, I don’t know. Everything is going so quickly… I’m in the moment and um… Look at me! You got me tongue-tied.”

Despite her awkwardness with the question, all indications point to a lasting future together.

Us Weekly reports the Voice coaches have actually been talking about marriage and have even hired celebrity wedding planner Jerri Woolworth.

If that’s the case, then Gwen and Blake are keeping it under wraps, a source told Us.

“If there is a wedding date, they haven’t told their families yet. They talk about their future and growing old together, but there aren’t specific plans like a dress or flowers.”

A different source told the magazine there has been some chatter between the two about tying the knot and what the ceremony might look like.

“Gwen has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings. It would likely be at Blake’s ranch [in Oklahoma] or in the backyard. Gwen doesn’t really care, she is just in love with Blake and their life together.”

In the interview with Seacrest for iHeartRadio’s KIIS-FM, the 46-year-old No Doubt singer also dished on the return to her solo career. Her tour will wind down at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater next month, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“I never thought I would go back on tour. It’s so crazy to see the actual people that shared my story… It was just incredible.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, Gwen’s final performances Oct. 29-30 will also be the last performances ever at Orange County, California’s Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, which will close after the performances and razed to make room for a housing development.

In a statement, Gwen said the performances will be bittersweet.

“I have so many memories at Irvine Meadows. It has been such an important part of my life both as an artist and as a fan and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I am humbled to perform there once again as it comes to a close.”

When asked by Seacrest if her No Doubt bandmates might make a surprise appearance for those final performances, Stefani was just as elusive as the questions about getting married.

“You never know what’s gonna happen, right? Look at my life.”

Stefani referenced the difficult and heartbreaking divorce last year from her husband of 13 years Gavin Rossdale, which reportedly had a major influence on her recent album. She noted, too, that everything works out in the end.

“Everything happens how it should, and everyone has a journey that they’re on. I had to go through that.”

Should Gwen and Blake decide to tie the knot, it would be Gwen’s second marriage following her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and Blake’s third. He was previously married to Miranda Lambert and Kaynette Williams.
