Cara Delevingne, St. Vincent Split: Does Cara Work And Party Too Much?

It seems like Cara Delevingne’s intense work schedule and partying habits was too much for St. Vincent. According to the British tabloids, the couple have gone their separate ways after a year and-a-half of dating.

Various conflicting reports have since come in about their split. According to The Metro, Cara Delevingne and her longtime girlfriend St. Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clarke, have gone their separate ways due to the model’s hard-partying ways. The British supermodel and the musician have dated since March 2015, and were rumored to be engaged. According to a report via the Daily Mail in the Girl’s About Town column, Clarke, 33, wasn’t happy when she saw the alleged photos of Delevingne, 24, having a wild time at Burning Man.

However, The Sun claims that their hectic work schedules were the reason behind their shocking split. The two broke up right around the time Delevingne was traveling around the world to promote her new film, Suicide Squad. Delevingne and Clarke were last spotted together at Taylor Swift’s annual Fourth of July bash and she has been partying ever since they broke up.

“Cara and Annie still care about each other, but pressures of the long-distance romance just became too much. The cracks were beginning to show on Cara’s birthday in August when Annie wasn’t there for her party. Instead she posted a very flat birthday message on Instagram. They decided to call it a day but remain pals and are hoping they can work things out as its no doubt they really love each other. But at the moment Cara has been trying to distract herself by partying.”

Delevingne has taken the split hard, according to the Daily Star. She has since taken to Instagram to post a message that simply reads: “HeartACHE,” which she later deleted. Delevingne, however, has posted the following cryptic message seen below. She simply included a red heart emoji in the caption.

And, according to The Sun, Delevingne also posted a sign from the Burning Man festival, which appropriately read “Excuse me while I disappear.”

The split comes after the couple was featured together in the new Marc Jacobs ad campaign. Then, in the September issue of Vogue magazine, Delevingne poured her heart out for her beloved girlfriend. She even graced the cover of W magazine wearing a red heart-shaped Louis Vuitton cape, similar in the way that Rihanna recently declared her heart for her rumored boyfriend, Drake.

CARA, Womanchild Every once in a blue moon I am fortunate enough to meet a model with a personality so huge it almost overshadows even the strongest of looks– the most dramatic fashion. When I met Cara through Katie Grand a few years ago, she was the girl in the animal onesie with boundless energy, great humor and in perpetual motion. Watching Cara’s growth and evolution into a dynamic, outspoken, independent woman is a true joy, just as she is herself. Her generosity and care in wanting to get a job done right (even if it means missing a flight!) is a testament to her professionalism and true character. ANNIE, Other The idea to ask musician Annie Clark (more commonly known by her stage name, St. Vincent) to be a part of our ad campaign had been discussed long before the Fall 2016 season began. It was Katie Grand who originally brought Annie to my attention and suggested we consider extending an invitation to join this campaign. I was really taken by comments Annie made in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine where she described queerness as a transcendence of sexuality and as a “banner” for being “other.” It was thoughtful, relevant and poignant. There’s a certain maturity that’s inherent in Annie that transcends her age and while her music is a direct reflection of her intellectual curiosities and musical prowess, it was when I had the privilege of meeting Annie in person that I experienced her magnetism. She operates with such genuine grace, poise and sincerity. I am in complete awe of the beauty of this photograph by David Sims for our Fall 2016 ad campaign. It so perfectly captures the inherent contemplativeness of Annie, her humility and mystery.

“Before, I didn’t know what love was – real love. I didn’t understand the depth of it. I always used to think it was you against the world. Now I know the meaning of life is love. Whether that’s for yourself or for the world or your partner.”

Sources also revealed that Delevingne’s close relationships with her Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie and Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard has made her partner feel “uncomfortable.” The trio were recently spotted partying in London just days after Heard’s divorce from Depp. According to an E! Online report, the actresses tried to enter a nightclub in Marylebone, but were denied entrance for an unknown reason, claimed an eyewitness.

In addition, Delevingne and Heard, who is also openly bisexual, were all smiles during their latest sighting. Delevingne and Robbie have also raised eyebrows for their flirtatious banter during a press junket for Suicide Squad. Delevingne told the interviewer that she has a “nipple detector” in her mind as she pointed to her blouse and Robbie glanced over.

Cara Delevingne and St. Vincent have yet to publicly confirm their split via media outlets or social media. Are you disappointed to hear that the couple has called it quits? Sound off below in the comments section.
