Chelsea will travel to Wales to face Swansea as they look to win another game in the Premier League. The Stamford Bridge outfit are joint toppers of the league along with Manchester United and Manchester City. But as the Manchester derby takes places on this Saturday, the Blues have a chance to lead the table alone if things go well for them on Sunday.

Chelsea has made a delightful start to the new season by winning every game. On top of that, Chelsea has signed former fan favorite David Luiz to bolster their defense. The big-haired defender’s consummate ball-playing ability surely excites manager Antonio Conte. The Italian likes to field defenders who are comfortable on the ball in order to implement his favorite formation, 4-3-3.

Chelsea has no fresh injury concerns, and Conte has almost every member of the squad available against Swansea. The only notable absentees are Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel. Both of them are sidelined with long-term knee injuries.

Loic Remy has returned to Chelsea after he had his ankle injured in the early phase of his loan to London neighbors, Crystal Palace.

Diego Costa had a fantastic game for Spain against Lichtenstein in the last game as he grabbed two of the eight goals Spain had scored. The striker came under a lot of scrutiny in recent weeks from the Spanish Press for his alleged under-performance. Therefore, his two goals lifted a lot of pressure off his shoulders.

Swansea should keep in mind that a confident Diego Costa will be very dangerous. So they have to give special attention to thwart Costa’s influence in the game.

Eden Hazard has been showing the form that won him PFA player of the year two years ago. Swansea should be wary of the threat posed by the diminutive Belgian from the wings.

Swansea: Team News

Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin is still waiting for the fitness of his star transfer window signing, Borja Baston, who arrived with a £15.5 million fee (around $20 m) this summer. The 24-year-old picked up an injury that made him miss the games against Hull City and Leicester.

When asked about the fitness issue of Baston, as reported by the Wales Online, Guidolin said,”Borja has to go slow for two or three days. It is not an injury now but he still has to go slow. I hope to have him available for Sunday but I don’t know, I am not sure.”

Wales defender Neil Taylor has been included on the squad for the first time this season after he was granted extended leave following his participation in the Euro 2016. Jefferson Montero is also available despite returning late from international duty for Ecuador.
