Sonja Morgan Worries For LuAnn De Lesseps, Who Declares She And Tom D’Agostino Are Getting Married Against All Odds

LuAnn de Lesseps’ relationship with Tom D’Agostino was a a major focus on part 2 of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 reunion show. During the episode, which aired on Wednesday night, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan continued their claims about Tom. Ramona said that she went on upwards of seven dates with Tom just prior to him starting to date LuAnn while Sonja maintained that she and Tom had a 10-year “friends with benefits” relationship that overlapped with the beginning of his relationship with LuAnn. Despite Ramona and Sonja providing evidence to provide their points, LuAnn refused to believe them, choosing instead to believe Tom, who claims that he only went on a couple of dates in a group setting with Ramona and only slept with Sonja once.

As the episode aired, Sonja called out Tom for lying about their relationship. She tweeted that LuAnn doesn’t see that she just wants her happy. Sonja added that Tom is diminishing both her and Ramona and that such behavior is hurtful and deceitful at the minimum.

When a viewer gave her opinion that Tom is diminishing his past with Sonja and Ramona because it meant nothing to him and was just casual, Sonja voiced her concern that Tom may be like that with everyone, presumably including LuAnn, despite the fact that he proposed to her and they’re getting married later this year.

Sonja added that she has feelings and that she’s also worried for LuAnn.

But is Sonja just making a big deal about nothing? During the reunion show, Sonja provided more clarification of her “friends with benefits” relationship with Tom. She claimed that they had sex five times in those 10 years. On social media, some viewers expressed surprise at the low amount and said that they thought that Sonja and Tom would have had sex more than that, considering what a big deal Sonja is making out of their past. When questioned by a viewer, Sonja attributed the low number of times to juggling boyfriends, presumably on her part, girlfriends, presumably on his part, and the fact that she was going through a divorce and raising her daughter.

One viewer said that five times in 10 years hardly qualified Tom as Sonja’s lover.

Another viewer joked that LuAnn probably had sex with a fling more times than that on a previous cast trip.

Yet another viewer opined that the other housewives pumped Sonja to be angry over nothing.

On part 2 of The Real Housewives of New York City reunion show, Sonja Morgan claimed that Tom D’Agostino told her to lie about their past. Sonja even claimed that Tom threatened to not invite her to his and LuAnn de Lesseps’ upcoming wedding and that her friendship with both of them would be compromised if she didn’t comply.

“I don’t know why, when I saw him recently, at Beautique, he goes, ‘You know, it was just one time.’ Like, are you serious?! In my face, he was saying that to me and then I said, ‘Tom, I’ve been to your house, you’ve been to my house, we go to dinner, we do things, just the two of us right?’ And he goes, ‘Well, I’ll just tell you, it’s going to come between you, me, and Lu,’ basically threatening me, and I was like, ‘I don’t lie! I love her and I’m not going to do that.’…And you know what he said about the wedding? ‘We want you at the wedding. We would really like to see you at the wedding.’ So in other words, if I don’t say it was one time, I’m out!”

Interestingly enough, the Season 8 finale episode two weeks ago showed Dorinda Medley telling Ramona Singer that Tom, with LuAnn beside him, told her via the phone to help cover up the fact that he kissed someone at the Regency Hotel right after getting engaged to LuAnn. Dorinda claimed that Tom told her that if she wasn’t going to help him with the cover-up, she wasn’t going to be friends with LuAnn anymore and she wasn’t going to be invited to the wedding.

LuAnn told Radar Online in August that “some” of her co-stars are invited to her and Tom’s New Year’s Eve wedding. One of the invited is Dorinda. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Dorinda, who was actually the one to introduce LuAnn and Tom to one another, said in August that she’s excited to attend LuAnn and Tom’s wedding. It’s not clear whether Sonja has been invited yet.

As she did the entire time when the other women were making claims about Tom during the reunion, LuAnn stayed composed and listened as Sonja Morgan spoke but maintained that she and Tom love one another and are getting married no matter what. LuAnn said during the reunion that Ramona Singer’s and Sonja’s claims are “inconsequential” to her.

“It’s inconsequential to me. I don’t really care – it’s not a big deal to me. With Tom, he told me and I believe him because I trust him and I love him. I have a past – I’m not saint, as you girls know. And Tom has been a playboy. And he’s never been married before – it’s a big thing for him to get married. We both feel very strongly about each other and we love each other.”

On Twitter after The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 reunion show aired, LuAnn de Lesseps declared that she and Tom D’Agostino are together and that’s the end of the story. She told people to move on as she and Tom are getting married against all odds. For some reason, LuAnn later deleted the tweet.
