Kelly Dodd Slams Friend Meghan King Edmonds: She Proved She Had No Empathy

Kelly Dodd has been on the outs with the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies after her outbursts at random dinner parties and her inability to accept her anger issues. Heather Dubrow was scared of bringing her children around Dodd simply because she didn’t know what she would say or do. Dodd was furious with Heather’s questions about her behavior, asking her to please give her a second chance, adding that she would never curse or swear in front of children. But after their crash in the dune buggy at Glamis, it sounds like Kelly and Heather actually got some time to bond with one another.

According to a new Bravo report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing that she actually enjoyed hanging out with Heather after Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson left for the hospital. Dubrow and Dodd felt like they had to call their other co-stars to inform them of what had happened. Meghan King Edmonds was shocked to hear the news, but when Kelly and Heather encouraged her to drive to Palm Springs to visit Vicki in the hospital since she was alone, Meghan didn’t exactly seem too excited about it.

“Despite their strained and tenuous relationship with Vicki, I fully expected that Meghan would respond like most caring adults and express concern for her. Even though we at times may struggle in our relationships and have our differences, we all naturally share the common experience of being in the same circle of friends,” Kelly Dodd reveals on her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, sharing that she was completely shocked to learn that Meghan had no interest in visiting her co-star in the hospital.

It’s no secret that Kelly and Vicki have bonded since she started filming the show and it’s definitely no secret that Meghan and Gunvalson don’t get along. But Kelly thought that her friend would at least reach out and go visit her co-star, who had been seriously hurt. Needless to say, Dodd was shocked when her friend didn’t really want to.

“When Heather and I heard Meghan’s reaction and reluctance to go to the hospital and show support for Vicki (of course would have meant disrupting her golf game) we were beside ourselves in disbelief. As much as I at times have detested Shannon for (in my opinion her) setting me up, I would absolutely help her in any way I could if she was injured and hospitalized (I pray this never happens). I would do that in an instant,” Kelly Dodd reveals on her Bravo blog, sharing that she would go see a co-star in the hospital, even if they weren’t exactly getting along.

But Dodd didn’t stop there. She reminded fans that Meghan had told her to show more compassion and empathy in regards to her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars. Kelly wanted to fit in and be friends with everyone and King Edmonds had told her to listen more and be there for the ladies. Now, Kelly Dodd feels that her friend is showing absolutely no compassion whatsoever.

“In her blog last week, Meghan told everyone I need to be more self-aware and empathize with another person’s perspective. How absolutely ironic that when, Meghan should have shown empathy for someone, she proves that she has none!” Kelly Dodd reveals on her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Bravo.

Of course, King Edmonds has been busy with her pregnancy and according to In Touch Weekly, and she’s been dealing with some divorce rumors. Maybe Vicki just isn’t her priority, and this is disappointing to Kelly Dodd. This aftermath will play out on next week’s episode.
