Katie Holmes Banned From Dating Jamie Foxx Due To Tom Cruise Divorce Clause?

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have reportedly been dating for three years, but so far, they haven’t confirmed the nature of their relationship.

Although the mystery surrounding their romance and their decision to keep their private lives to themselves remains, a recent source suggested that Holmes is actually restricted from going public with Foxx, or anyone else, due to a clause in her divorce from Tom Cruise.

Katie Holmes’ divorce from Cruise includes a rule that the former Dawson’s Creek actress can not officially “date” until 2017, an insider alleged to Radar Online earlier this week.

“[Katie Holmes] signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” the source claimed.

According to the report, Katie Holmes can date whomever she pleases, she just can’t do so in an obvious manner nor is she allowed to have her guy of choice around her and Cruise’s daughter, 10-year-old Suri. Although the rules seem a bit strict, the Radar Online source claimed Katie Holmes agreed to follow the orders in an effort to quickly put an end to their marriage. In turn, the actress received $4.8 million in child support for Suri and another $5 million for herself.

While Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have done a good job keeping things between them on the down low, aside from a couple of photos and one video of them dancing, the Radar Online report claimed the couple nearly blew their cover while attending a recent Barbra Streisand concert in New York. During the event, Katie Holmes reportedly cheered Foxx on as he sang with Streisand and later joined him in his dressing room.

“[Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx] figured it wasn’t a violation of the public rule because security prevented photos. They were so discreet,” the source claimed.

As for Cruise, he “doesn’t care much what [Katie Holmes] does,” said the insider, and “wouldn’t mind getting his $5 million back!”

Although a divorce clause does seem to make sense when it comes to Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s super secretive relationship, Gossip Cop claimed the report was untrue.

In other Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx news, Foxx was recently spotted enjoying his Labor Day weekend with another brunette in Malibu, California.

“Jamie Foxx was just one of the many who decided to celebrate the end of the summer by hitting up the annual Malibu Fair and Chili Cook-Off over the weekend. Of course, our peepers couldn’t help but notice that Jamie was out without his lady love, Katie Holmes — and was with a different brunette beauty. Uh oh!” X17 Online revealed to readers on September 5.

During the outing, Katie Holmes’ rumored boyfriend was seen sporting a pair of jeans and a dark green bomber jacket as he followed a mystery woman, who was donning a pair of high-top sneakers and a plain gray top.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were most recently spotted together in Canada earlier this summer. As Lainey Gossip revealed to readers in July, the couple enjoyed a low-key dinner date in Toronto but left separately.

“[Katie Holmes] has been in Toronto all summer shooting The Kennedys After Camelot. Jamie has also been seen on several occasions in Toronto, but he doesn’t have a work excuse. His only connection to Toronto right now is her,” the outlet explained.
