Selena Gomez’s Advice For Distraught Taylor Swift, Plays Mom In Upcoming James Franco Movie, Inspires Others With Lupus Diagnosis

Serena Gomez has an important job to do right now, which is to be there for her best friend Taylor Swift while the 26-year-old needs a shoulder to cry on. Following her unexpected breakup from relatively new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, Swift has been relying on her friends to help her get through this difficult time and Selena Gomez has been there the most for her friend.

According to Hollywood Life, Selena Gomez was quick to rush to her best friend’s side when the news broke of the big breakup. Hollywood Life reports that Selena Gomez knew about the split “for a while,” which surely couldn’t have been too long considering the couple has only been together for a few months.

Selena Gomez had one piece of advice for her distraught best friend and that was to “slow down,” take a break from dating, and concentrate on her music and career for the time being. Apparently, the “Shake It Off” singer agrees with Selena Gomez’s advice, but it remains to be seen whether Swift will still immediately jump into another new relationship, just as she did after her infamous breakup with Calvin Harris earlier this year.

In other news, Selena Gomez is no longer the innocent child star as many people fondly remember her. But unlike other former child stars, Selena Gomez hasn’t gone off the rails and succumbed to a life of drugs and other poor life decisions, but she has surprised everyone by playing a mom in her upcoming movie.

Refinery29 reports that Selena Gomez is set to appear in the upcoming movie In Dubious Battle in the role of a pregnant woman who gives birth throughout the course of the movie. And for those people who have difficulty thinking of Selena Gomez as being old enough to give birth to and raise a child, it should be mentioned that the movie is set in the Great Depression era, and Selena Gomez will play the role of a very young woman who becomes pregnant.

The new Selena Gomez movie is written and directed by James Franco, who previously worked with Gomez in Spring Breakers. This time, Franco will be tasked with helping Selena Gomez to give birth to her child in the new movie, a sight which will be most interesting for fans of Spring Breakers to witness.

Fans can only hope that Selena Gomez will be feeling up to the task of appearing in the new movie as well as continuing with her ongoing musical commitments, as the “Hands to Myself” singer recently made the shocking decision to cancel the remainder of her Revival world tour to deal with the depression, panic attacks, and anxiety that she has been suffering from as a side effect of her recent lupus diagnosis. ITechPost reports that Selena Gomez was diagnosed with the debilitating disease a year ago and that she has been struggling with the disease and its severe mental health side-effects since then.

The “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer decided that the best way to deal with her current health crisis was to take some time off work to allow herself to recover without the added pressures of dealing with her strict touring schedule.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.”

In doing so, Selena Gomez says that she hopes she will inspire others to take the personal time needed to deal with whatever issues they are facing, rather than continuing to power on through life.

“I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

Given that Selena Gomez is currently the most influential person on social media, there is every chance that she will get her wish and that others will be positively influenced by her decision to take some time to herself to deal with her severe health challenges.
