Donald Trump Just Cannot Be Stopped As He Beats Hillary Clinton In Presidential Polls

Donald Trump has become the most disliked presidential candidate in decades. Every time he stumbles, he is declared “over with.” Then, he bounces up again. Trump, who was way behind Hillary Clinton in the polls a couple weeks ago, has once again jumped ahead of her — at least according to CNN.

“Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton start the race to November 8 on essentially even ground, with Trump edging Clinton by a scant two points among likely voters, and the contest sparking sharp divisions along demographic lines in a new CNN/ORC Poll.”

The article adds that Trump tops Clinton 45 percent to 43 percent in CNN‘s new survey, while Libertarian Gary Johnson stands at 7 percent among likely voters and the Green Party’s Jill Stein at just 2 percent. Trump’s polling has been helped by the fact that he has toned down his harsh rhetoric and has been reaching out to minorities.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Trump recently visited black parishioners at a church and said he was there to listen.

“‘This has been an amazing day for me,’ Trump said after taking the stage. He called the African American Christian community ‘one of God’s greatest gifts to America’ and said he was attending the religious service in Detroit on Saturday ‘to listen to your message — and I hope my presence here today will help your message reach new voices.'”

The article adds that Trump appeared with former Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigualt and former Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson, who was born in Detroit. Many of the commenters after the article don’t think Trump’s visit is sincere.

“That sounds very nice but ‘THESE PEOPLE’ know that Trump is a liar and that he has no solutions. They also know his track record of racism, fraud, & cheating,” says Adam Modelski.

“‘I’m here to listen’???? He doesn’t even listen to his advisors. And we’re supposed to believe he’ll listen to people he and his father wouldn’t even rent to? At least Omarosa was there to translate for him,” responds Dennis Bierlein.

Perhaps Trump’s recent climb isn’t because his approval rating has changed much, but rather because of the fact that Hillary Clinton’s disapproval has hit new highs this past week thanks to her ongoing email server scandal. As the New York Times reports, the GOP is now seeking inquiry on whether or not Hillary obstructed justice over her emails.

“House Republicans asked the Justice Department on Tuesday to investigate whether Hillary Clinton, her lawyers and the company that housed her email account obstructed justice when emails were deleted from her personal server.”

The article adds that this has been the second time in two months that Republicans have asked for authorities to open a Clinton inquiry. Representative Jason Chaffetz of Utah, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, claimed the emails should not have been deleted because of orders placed on the email account.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is taking Donald Trump and her critics head on by opening up about her husband’s affair with Monica Lewinsky in the 1990s.

Real Clear Politics quotes Clinton as saying that as the First Lady during the time of the scandal, it was very hard and painful for her. But, she was really supported by her friends, who would try and make her laugh. They would also recommend good books to read in order to get her mind off the scandal.

Hillary’s email scandal may seem big now, and it is actually a huge magnet for Donald Trump. However, anybody who remembers the Monica Lewinsky scandal knows that Hillary Clinton has survived a lot worse. Just don’t tell that to Donald Trump.
