Elle Macpherson Launches New Lingerie Collection, Reveals Secrets To Her Enviable Body


Elle Macpherson, the veteran Australian model and businessperson, is set to unveil her new lingerie collection under the brand name of “The Body,” reports The Industry London.

With the launch of her new collection, Elle Macpherson has extended her own nickname to the new product line. The supermodel was given the nickname of “The Body” by Time magazine when she featured on their cover page back in 1989.

Elle Macpherson’s new collection will be launched in collaboration with Simon de Winter, the Australian lingerie group, and it will be marketed through Solomon Lew’s retail group. Additionally, enthusiastic shoppers can view the collection on Myer’s online store.

This is not the first time that the veteran supermodel has ventured into the lingerie business. Earlier, Elle Macpherson partnered with New Zealand’s Bendon Group to manufacture and market her intimates range. However, her 25-year-long collaboration with the famous company came to an end in 2014, after which the Bendon Group started marketing Heidi Klum’s intimates range.

After going solo, Elle Macpherson continued to work on her lingerie range that came in a variety of colors, famously including citron, Mykonos blue, and wine. Later, she was approached by Simon de Winter who was eager to do business with the supermodel with the hope of striking gold in the markets of Australia, New Zealand, U.K., and the U.S. According to The Australian, Elle Macpherson expressed her confidence in Simon de Winter, who she says is not only a great appreciator of her work but who also has the panache to drive her brand towards success.

“When I met Simon, I immediately felt a synergy. He was open, has expertise in the area and understood the Australian DNA. It made sense to have an Australian partner.”

Elle Macpherson has expanded her current product line even further by launching other related products like sleepwear, silk slips, gym clothing, and fitness wear that doubles as casual wear.

Indeed, Simon de Winter is playing in the big leagues by associating with Elle Macpherson, who was one of the biggest names on the catwalk in the 1980s, the decade when she was considered in the same league as supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. In fact, she was included in the “Magnificent Seven” of supermodels within the fashion industry during that decade.

Elle Macpherson gained immense popularity and notoriety after she was featured five times on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, one of the reasons for which Time magazine nicknamed her “The Body.”

Recently, Elle Macpherson revealed her secrets behind her well-maintained, flawless figure which has made so many people jealous over the years. Elle Macpherson credits Dr. Simone Laubscher, her nutritionist, for educating her about the importance of an alkaline diet that has enabled her to maintain her envious physique. In essence, an alkaline diet comprises all foods that exclude processed foods and acid-forming foods like sugar and coffee.

According to Elle magazine, an alkaline diet helps Elle Macpherson to stay energetic, avoid weight-gain and steer clear of digestive ailments by maintaining an appropriate alkaline/acidic balance in her body.

Apart from focusing on her diet, the former model also makes sure that she gets enough sleep and drinks plenty of water. According to Well and Good, Elle Macpherson began to appreciate the need to have a good night’s sleep when she suffered from adrenal fatigue that left her body inadequately charged and repaired after a hard day’s work.

Elle Macpherson makes sure that she follows the ritual of having an herbal tea that helps to calm her down before going to bed. Her bedtime tea ceremony is followed by a writing session where she purposely jots down all negative thoughts and emotions that have accumulated in her mind throughout the day. This practice ensures that her sleep is free from disturbing thoughts and troublesome memories. Just as importantly, Elle Macpherson has a routine of specific yoga poses and breathing exercise that lull her to sleep.
