Catelynn Baltierra Violates Trust With Fans After Driving Under The Influence Of Medication

Catelynn Baltierra has struggled with her postpartum depression ever since giving birth to her second child, Nova. Catelynn had plenty of thoughts in her head about her first-born Carly, her relationship with Carly’s adoptive parents, her own body and mental health, and her role on Teen Mom. Baltierra has tried to reach out for help before, as she called Dr. Drew to talk about her postpartum depression and how she was coping with her anxiety. He told her to stop smoking weed and try to steer clear of things that could alter her behavior. On last night’s episode of Teen Mom, Baltierra made the mistake of getting behind the wheel while on medication and fans were disappointed in her behavior.

According to a new tweet, Catelynn Baltierra is now realizing that her decision to get behind the wheel was a bad one and she wanted to apologize to her fans for what happened. Clearly, they were not happy with her behavior and they were hoping that she would think about her being a role model. This morning, Catelynn released a tweet, apologizing for her behavior on last night’s Teen Mom episode.

“Yes I was 100% wrong for medicating while driving. That was before I got my card & I know better now. Indica species=less anxiety #NoXanax,” Catelynn Baltierra revealed on Twitter, clarifying that her behavior was not acceptable at all.

“So brave of you Catelynn to admit you need help, your helping a lot of people with your bravery #TeenMomOG #MentalHealthMatters,” one person wrote to her, to which she replied, “Thank you! I honestly try to be open TO help people.”

Even though Catelynn apologized this morning and revealed that her behavior was not all right, it sounds like many people were very harsh with her on Twitter last night as Teen Mom aired. And these people may not be as willing to accept her apology this morning, as Catelynn was essentially risking other people’s lives by driving under the influence of medication.

“Why do you put others lives at risk when you’re getting high behind the wheel?” one person questioned after watching Catelynn Baltierra’s decision to get behind the wheel, while another added, “it’s time to grow up and be responsible. And yes, it becomes others’ business when you’re driving on public roads.”

Baltierra may not have thought too much about the situation when it happened, but fans were very critical of her. They thought about her daughter and the possible consequences if she had been in the car.

“People are upset about the smoking and driving. Just praying your daughter wasn’t in the car,” one person wrote, adding later in response to a question, “because what she’s doing is illegal! Is it really that hard to see?”

“Who are you helping by driving a car while high? Is your daughter with you when you do it? Real helpful,” another person pointed out.

This isn’t the first time Baltierra has said she needed help, according to She Knows. While Catelynn was vocal about her mistakes, her husband, Tyler, didn’t say much about the situation on his own social media. Instead, he answered another question, where he hinted that MTV would edit scenes to make them more appealing. No word on whether he was referring to Catelynn Baltierra’s driving scene.

“When you see things edited in a misleading way (negative or not) do you ever reconsider doing the show?” one person asked Tyler Baltierra on Twitter in an unrelated question to Catelynn’s behavior, to which he replied, “Absolutely! I’m just a pawn for their ratings, which they will manipulate any storyline to get ratings.”

What do you think about Catelynn Baltierra’s apology tweet? Are you surprised that she made the decision that she did?
