Britney Spears: Turkish Pop Star Accused Of Copying Her ‘Make Me’ Video

Oops! Looks like someone was clearly inspired by Britney Spears’s sexy music video for her first single “Make Me,” off her latest album, Glory.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was the first to report that a Turkish pop star, who goes by the name Aleyna Dalveren, borrowed a few elements from Spears’s music video for “Make Me” (ft. G-Eazy). The blogger accused the pop star — who already draws similarities to Spears with her blonde hair — of ripping off the music video. In her video for her new song “Havam Yerinde,” Dalveren and her friends decide to hold a private casting call inside a warehouse and giggle as they watch several guys strip and grind.

In between scenes, Aleyna dances around in various sexy outfits and even gets a lap dance from one of the shirtless men. Check out Aleyna Dalveren’s music video below.

If it sounds similar to Britney Spears video to “Make Me” it’s because it is kind of similar, notes Cosmopolitan. Of course, Dalveren is not writhing around and wearing lace lingerie like Spears does in most of her music video. There is not even a shot of Dalveren wearing a white lace blouse or a black mesh crop top embellished with stars. But, she sure does wear her share of crop tops in the music video. It sure looks like either Dalveren, or her producers, were clearly inspired by Spears’s sizzling music video.

Aleyna has not addressed the controversy on her social media pages. Instead, she’s been taking to social media to promote her new single. Unfortunately, little is known about the Turkish pop star, especially since most of her social media accounts are in Turkish. It appears that Aleyna has been in the music scene for years, if you search for the singer on YouTube.

Aleyna and Britney clearly share a lot in common. Both women have blonde hair, a love for crop tops, love to dance, and sing pop music.

This isn’t the first time that Spears’s music video has been hit with some controversy. Following the release of Spears’s new music video for “Make Me” on Friday, August 5, it was reported that the original version was scrapped because it was too sexy. Spears’s sources said that that the original was pointless and did not have a story line, according to a previous report via TMZ. Check out the scandalous video for yourself below.

Outraged fans then launched an online petition – which received over 15,000 signatures – to see the original version directed by David LaChapelle, reports Billboard. But the video has been scrapped alongside some of her other mysterious music videos.

Even Spears’s performance of “Make Me” at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards received its share of controversy. Some fans speculated whether Spears was dodging a kiss from G-Eazy during their racy performance. Spears shut down the speculation during an interview with 92.3 AMP Radio co-hosts Shoboy and Nina Star on Tuesday, August 30, reports Us Weekly.

She was asked if she thought the rapper was trying to sneak a kiss, exclaiming, “No, I don’t think so. He has a girlfriend!”

Though the two didn’t kiss on stage, they did get flirtatious during their racy performance. At one point, Britney placed her hand over G-Eazy’s crotch, and then she ran her hands up and down his chest. Before the show, the two held hands and embraced each other as they posed on the white carpet.
