WWE News: Sasha Banks To Deliver Bad News On ‘WWE Raw’?

On Monday Night Raw, there a lot of avenues to take in which it can be successful. The big storyline going into Monday night is Kevin Owens’ WWE Universal championship win. It was a huge shock to the WWE Universe when he defeated Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Big Cass in a fatal-four way match in the WWE Raw main event. Triple H came out of nowhere to attack Reigns and let Rollins pin him in the middle of the squared circle.

After that, WWE fans were expecting HHH to help Rollins take out Owens, as the two had a partnership in 2015 that culminated in a successful Authority angle. Rollins had monster heat for most of the year and defending his WWE World Heavyweight championship month-after-month. While some criticized his championship run, Rollins was told to do what was booked for television. The ratings declined, but with all of the injuries, it was hard to keep pace.

The other huge storyline for WWE Raw is Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte, and the WWE Women’s championship. After Banks went down with a back injury, she dropped the championship to Charlotte at SummerSlam. Her first title win on the main roster happened on the first WWE Raw after the WWE Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is a shame it had to end that way for Banks, but a rematch with Charlotte could be looming in the future.

That being said, on WWE Raw on September 5, a tweet has surfaced from Sasha Banks that bares resemblance to Daniel Bryan’s tweet before he retired. Now, that doesn’t mean she’s retiring, far far from it. However, a tweet like this can’t mean anything good for Sasha Banks and the Women’s division.

Hopefully, Banks meant that she has bad news for other female wrestlers. If not, then it probably means she will be gone for a long time, quite like Finn Balor. He will miss at least six months with his torn labrum and broken bones around the area. Banks has made such good strides in making the Women’s division in the WWE a promising part of their programming. It used to be a “bathroom break,” as WWE fans used to put it.

Now, Banks is putting the women on the map, alongside Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Nikki Bella, and Bayley. She did an interview with SkySports about the women getting equal treatment on WWE television.

“I wanted to change the division,” Banks told Sky Sports ahead of SummerSlam.

“I didn’t want to walk into WWE and be someone who just does bikini matches and played second fiddle to the guys. I wanted to stand out, make people excited to see women’s wrestling and show them we can be better than the men.”

So far, Sasha Banks has succeeded in doing so. More men care about women’s wrestling than they did previously. That’s due to the Four Horsewomen and WWE NXT. WWE writers on the main roster only gave them a platform to do it on a bigger stage. The true Women’s Revolution began in their developmental territory.

Monday Night Raw could spell out the near future of WWE’s women. If Banks didn’t succumb to an injury, things would be a lot different. Charlotte wouldn’t have immediately got her championship back and Bayley would still be in WWE NXT. Tune in to Monday Night Raw on September 5 to see what Sasha Banks has to say.
