Adam Levine’s Band Maroon 5 Postpones Tour Dates As Wife Behati Prinsloo Prepares To Welcome Baby Girl

Adam Levine doesn’t want to miss the birth of his firstborn — and who can blame him?

As his wife, Behati Prinsloo, nears her due date later this month, Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5, have opted to postpone several of their upcoming shows in Upstate New York to ensure Levine will be in Los Angeles when Prinsloo goes into labor.

“Sadly, it’s par for the course with having a baby soon,” Adam Levine explained to his fans and followers on Instagram. “It’s life, and it’s beautiful, but it can be complicated, and I apologize for any convenience.”

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are expecting their baby to arrive on September 20, but Prinsloo could give birth sooner — or later.

According to a report by Entertainment Tonight, Adam Levine’s concerts in Albany, Montreal, Quebec, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee will be postponed until February and March of next year.

“Even when you think you’ve planned everything perfectly, sometimes life just kinda happens,” Adam Levine said in a statement. “Soon Behati and I will be celebrating the birth of our first child and, as I’m sure you all understand, I need to be there. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone in the spring.”

Maroon 5’s U.S. tour kicked off in San Antonio, Texas, as scheduled. However, as the Syracuse Media Group noted, when the group returns for their rescheduled shows next year, “Locked Away” duo R. City will be opening for them instead of Tove Lo, who was previously set to open for the band during their Sept. 21 and Sept. 27 dates.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo tied the knot in July, 2014, and quickly made it very clear to fans that they intended to have a very large family. Then, just under two years after they wed, Adam Levine took to Instagram where he announced Prinsloo was pregnant with a photo of the model showing off her baby bump in a bikini. In the caption of the photo, Adam Levine said Prinsloo and his unborn baby were his two favorite Lakers fans.

Weeks after his baby news was confirmed, Adam Levine made an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Michael, where he revealed to the daytime talk show hosts that he and Prinsloo were expecting a baby girl. He also spoke of Levine’s No. 1 pregnancy craving.

“I’m about to be a dad. I’m superpumped,” Adam Levine announced, via Us Weekly, during the April episode. “I’m having a girl.”

Adam Levine went on to reveal that while his wife, Prinsloo, was obsessed with eating as much watermelon as possible, it could be worse.

“She’s good, man, she’s just, you know, been eating a lot of weird food. Watermelon, that’s the thing in our house. A lot — so much watermelon,” he said. “Maybe she just, like, really likes watermelon. I mean, it’s delicious. I’m glad it’s not, like, pickles or some weird thing.”

As Adam Levine prepares to welcome his first child with Prinsloo, he has returned to filming on The Voice for Season 11 with his returning co-star, Blake Shelton, and his newest co-stars, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. As fans well know, Levine and Shelton have been on the series consistently since its start, while the females of the series have been alternating their roles on the show.
