After Owning The VMAs 2016 Fifth Harmony Lost Camila Cabello In Missouri: Why Camila Had To Leave The Building

The VMAs 2016 Fifth Harmony act was so hot, so amazing and really blew people away, though perhaps not nearly as much as what Beyonce did. Still, the girls did a great job at the VMAs awards show, especially considering they were mid-tour, and probably pretty worn out from the road. Speaking of which…

Fifth Harmony lost Camila Cabello in Missouri on Friday. If seems the fifth girl just ran off stage in the middle of a performance, with no explanation. Her bandmates thought it might have been a wardrobe malfunction, but the fifth didn’t come back, leaving the other four Harmony girls to finish up the last seven songs of the set. The other four girls were able to make up for her absence with their VMA award winning talents. See the video below.

Camila Cabello, it turns out had a severe anxiety attack on stage. She ran and could not make herself go back out there, according to Rolling Stone.

At the VMAs 2016 Fifth Harmony performed without a single problem, Cabello seemed calm enough, even though it was televised and a very important performance for the group. The eyes of the whole world were upon them at the VMAs. Yet Ms. Cabello panicked in Missouri. Well, Missouri shouldn’t take it personally as panic is never logical. She just got scared and ran.

Camila Cabello tweeted on Friday that she just wanted to sleep for three days. That is a very common feeling for musicians on tour. However, on Saturday, Cabello got on Snapchat for a video explaining what happened. It was time to face what had happened to her and clear the air with fans. It was clear she felt bad about her sudden and uncontrolled departure. Rolling Stone quotes Cabello.

“Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night. Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it… I’m truly sorry. I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop.”

Fifth Harmony’s Camilla Cabello has had trouble with anxiety before. Though she was in top form for the VMAs, in 2015 she admitted to suffering from nonstop panic, according to Rolling Stone.

“My heart would beat really fast the whole day. Two hours after I woke up, I’d need a nap because my body was so hyperactive. It was so eff – sorry, but it was so f***ed up. I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn’t worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate.”

So Camila Cabello believed she had her anxiety under control back in 2015, but Friday it really overwhelmed her. Also, she was probably exhausted. Touring often exhausts performers who often can’t find time to eat or sleep properly.

At the VMAs 2016, Fifth Harmony won an award, performed well and were very well received by the audience as well as their fellow performers. They are definitely rising stars with a great future ahead. Perhaps, though, combining the hardships of touring with the excitement of all that recognition of the VMAs just overwhelmed Camila, but she seems better now.
