Ryan Gosling To Join Jared Leto And Harrison Ford In ‘Blade Runner’ Sequel, Rekindles On-Screen Romance With Emma Stone In ‘La La Land’

Ryan Gosling has company for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The 35-year-old actor is not the only actor who has signed up for the sequel, as Suicide Squad star Jared Leto and Star Wars actor Harrison Ford are set to star in the upcoming sequel as well.

Apart from Ryan Gosling, Ford, and Leto, House of Cards‘ star Robin Wright and Exposed actress Ana de Armas will also play in the upcoming Denis Villeneuve-directed film by Alcon Entertainment.

The film starring Ryan Gosling and the above-mentioned company is set to debut on October 6, 2017, with Warner Bros. slated to distribute the film around the world. The new Blade Runner will serve as a sequel to the 1982 original, while Ford is set to reprise his role of Rick Deckard.

It’s been several years since the film was announced and since Ryan Gosling was attached to the project. The film will be set several decades after the events of the original film, while the sequel is being penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.

The original 1982 film was written by Fancher and David Peoples and was based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The sequel will be executive produced by Frank Giustra, Tim Gamble, Ridley Scott, and Bill Carraro.

Ryan Gosling’s recent roles include starring in The Nice Guys opposite Russell Crowe. Leto, who won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for his role in Dallas Buyers Club in 2014, most recently starred in Suicide Squad as The Joker.

Ryan Gosling has recently put his vocal talents to the test once again in the upcoming dramedy musical La La Land, according to The Sun. The Drive actor stars opposite Emma Stone in the film, and the new trailer was recently released.

The film, directed by Academy Award Winner Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) focuses on the undeniable chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Stone, which could be seen in abundance in the trailer.

The film is set in modern day Los Angeles and it tells the story of Ryan Gosling and Stone swimming in the sea of love. The film from the director of the hit movie Whiplash rekindles Gosling and Stone’s on-screen romance seen in Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.

Stone plays the role of an aspiring actress named Mia, who earns a living by serving coffee to Hollywood stars while dreaming of becoming an actress one day. Ryan Gosling portrays a famous jazz musician Sebastian, who is getting frustrated about his musical fate.

The two eventually meet and fall in love, but it wouldn’t be a drama film if there wasn’t a sad turn. Ryan Gosling and Stone’s characters have to choose between their career success and their thriving romance, and the choice isn’t easy considering that Mia has been dreaming about her acting career her entire life.

And most excitedly, Ryan Gosling and Stone are showcasing their singing talents in the film. The Nice Guys actor has previously proven his singing talents in a song titled “City of Stars” recorded for the film.

Ryan Gosling’s love life may be dream-like and romantic on screen, but there are many questions regarding his real life private life, according to Vanity Style. In April this year, Eva Mendes reportedly gave birth to her second daughter with Gosling.

And while both Ryan Gosling and Mendes are not very open to talking about their relationship, the actor has recently admitted in his interview with Vanity Style that women are better than men.

“They are stronger, more evolved… You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”
