Due to apparent suddenness of the wedding, there were bound to be rumors that the Taiwanese actress was pregnant. Shu Qi and Fung squashed those rumors before they could even start, The Straits Times reports.

“PS we’re currently not pregnant,” were the final words of the statement about their wedding.

The wedding photos from the Qi/Fung nuptials were posted online via Shu’s entertainment media company, the South China Morning Post reports. In the photos both Qi and Fung are wearing casual clothing and in one picture on a roadside, Fung holds up a cardboard sign that simply says “Married.”

Born in Taiwan, Shu Qi, who’s also known as Lin Li-hui, started modeling and acting when she was 17-years-old. As Focus Taiwan reports, Qi became famous in Taiwan in the 90s after she appeared in an erotic film by director Wong Jing.

Since then, she has won numerous awards for her work in films, including a prestigious Golden Horse Award in Taiwan for Best Supporting Actress. The Golden Horse Awards are widely regarded as East Asia’s Academy Awards. Shu Qi has also received a nomination for Best Actress from the Golden Horse Awards, according to IMDB.

Most recently, she won an Asian Film Award for her work on The Assassin, a Taiwanese martial arts film. In The Assassin, Shu Qi plays a female hired killer, Nie Yinniang, who receives a dangerous order to kill a high-ranking official in eighth century China. Her target also happens to be a prince who she was once betrothed to.

According to IMDB, the film won the Best Director Award at The Cannes Film Festival 2015 for director Hsiao-Hsien Hou. It was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2016 BAFTAs and currently has an 80 percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The Assassin, which pushes the boundaries and stereotypes of martial arts film, is a striking work whose arrival at our multiplexes should be saluted, or at the very least welcome,” film critic, Kong Rithdee wrote of The Assassin in his review for The Bangkok Post.

Other Shu Qi movies include Gone with the Bullets, The Second Woman, A Beautiful Life and an appearance alongside Jackie Chan in Gorgeous.
