‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Movie: Marvel Studios Cast Of Characters Details Revealed — MCU Spoilers Leaked Via Reddit [Rumors]

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie has wrapped things up and with it comes the MCU rumors. Marvel Studios have a markedly planned timeline, and recently, details of the James Gunn-directed film had been leaked, according to Screen Geek.

The rumors don’t seem too far off the mark considering some of these were previously reported. With that said, take it with a grain of salt. Although it was removed from one part of the Internet, just like Hydra, another posting replaced the head on Reddit.

It behooves you to keep your distance if you don’t want to be spoiled if the rumors are true.

Sylvester Stallone And Sharon Stone’s Roles

Director James Gunn took to the stage at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con and with him was Yondu, played by Michael Rooker. Taserface and his crew of Ravagers also made their way to the stage. There was a clip made available only to Comic-Con attendees, and afterward, Gunn took to Facebook to talk about his experience.

When he brought up Stallone’s role, he reminisced about pretending to play Rambo when he was a kid. He said he won’t say what role he portrays, but said his character interacts with Yondu. Stallone’s role isn’t even listed on IMDB.

“Who does he play? Well, I can’t reveal that quite yet… but we do see him interacting with Yondu in the teaser.”

It was reported previously that the director said Stallone’s role will have a purpose, according to MCU Exchange.

“It’s a very, very key, important role. It’s not a huge role. He’s a great and key supporting actor.”

The Marvel Studios movie spoiler/rumor here indicates, along with Sharon Stone, that he’s an Ancient. They hired the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop Ego.

Sharon Stone was reported to be a superhero with heat powers, according to AARP. Back then the movie wasn’t even named by Stone.

Ayesha And Ego’s Role

Ayesha is rumored to play the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. What is known so far via the 2016 SDCC panel is that the actress Elizabeth Debicki said she also enlists the heroes, according to io9. There’s a YouTube video via Flicks And The City with her discussing the details. Skip to 17:44

“Ayesha is this leader of the Sovereign people. She enlists the Guardians to help her fight a sort of galactical beast. They’re this sort of ragtag bunch of people but they happen to be very good at getting rid of things and cleaning up the universe, in a way. So she enlists them and it’s all going swimmingly until it all turns very very sour. Let’s just say it goes from amiable to not-so-amiable quite quickly.”

Considering the last sentence mentioning the amiability of the situation, this statement seems to be in sync with the rumor.

Ego, played by Kurt Russell, was “made out to be a villain at first,” but the aforementioned Ayesha rumor says otherwise. He will still be an antagonist, though, with Taserface as a secondary bad guy.

Other Guardians of the Galaxy 2 details entail Yondu, Nebula, and Mantis joining the team. What’s interesting to note is that Mantis was rumored to be the half-sister of Star-Lord and prisoner to Ego. The semi-blood relation between the two doesn’t sound too far off considering that the first movie is when Nova Prime discovers Peter Quill’s lineage.

Thanos Is Not In The Film, But Mentioned

Thanos won’t appear in the movie, nor the Infinity Stones. This was confirmed during director James Gunn’s Facebook question/answer session, according to The Independent.

https://www.facebook.com/jgunn/videos/10153152716256157/

“Thanos will not appear in Vol 2. No., As I’ve said before, Thanos isn’t in this movie. I think he’s gonna have a little bit to do and say when it comes to certain wars and infinity. We’ve got other fish to fry in Guardians Vol 2. We’re not really so much about the Infinity Stones in Guardians 2. Is that a spoiler? It’s not really a thing.”

However, both will be referenced in the Marvel movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Will Lead Into Avengers: Infinity War

This is quite believable considering actor Vin Diesel said there will be a crossover between the two in a Facebook video, according to the Independent. James Gunn was thought to have hinted at a crossover back in April.

“Now, the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s incredibly exciting. You were told before everybody.”

A Third Sequel Is Confirmed For Phase 4, But Is James Gunn?

The director isn’t sure about returning for part three. A Facebook question/answer session revealed he was more concerned about the quality of his second Marvel Studios flick. He said Marvel had been in talks with him.

“I’m not sure what I’m going to do after this. Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I’m not sure if that’s what I want to do or if that’s not what I want to do.”

Star-Lord/Gamora Romance, Little Groot, The Kree, and Nova Corps

The sapling Groot is to remain a small fry in most of the flick and there’s a romantic sub-plot between Gamora and Star-Lord which isn’t surprising considering the hints in the first movie. The Kree will have more of a significance and there will be a Nova Corps appearance, too.

So with all this said, do you think the aforementioned Marvel Studios movie rumors are not way out in left field? If they are true, does this look like something you’d look forward to as the MCU continues forward?
