Can The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Really Kill You?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the hottest smartphone available right now. The Guardian is just one of the sources that has praised the Galaxy Note 7.
“The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is, without doubt, the best phablet going. It’s powerful, full of useful features and little in the way of gimmicks, and provides productivity tools others simply don’t.”
The review adds that the cameras, fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, waterproofing, and screen are also top-notch.
CNET gives the Note 7 four-and-a-half stars.
“The Galaxy Note 7 is a beautiful, capable Android phone that showcases Samsung’s best in design, battery life, speed and features. The 64GB base model leaves you plenty of space for photos, videos and games, and it’s a real improvement over 2015’s Note 5,” says reviewer Jessica Dolcourt.
However, there may be just one problem, even though it is likely over-exaggerated. According to BGR, a site known for their Apple favoritism, the Note 7 could blow up on you when charging.
“Is there anything wrong with the Galaxy Note 7’s battery or its charging technologies? That’s a question Samsung is apparently trying to figure out after at least two devices exploded while charging. A new report from South Korea says the company suspended Galaxy Note 7 shipments to local carriers earlier this week, and the decision may be related to these reports of explosions.”

The article adds that, at least according to a Korean newspaper, Samsung suspended Galaxy Note 7 shipments to local carriers. However, they do admit that the cause of suspensions has not been confirmed, although the charger could have something to do with it. Commenters after the article are anything but afraid of the new Galaxy Note 7.
“I traded in my iPhone 6 Plus for the new Note 7 and all I can say is wow! This phone is easily the most elegant phone I have ever owned. It’s amazing how they fit the 5.7 inch screen into such a sleek design,” says Douglass Price, who adds that his Note 7 runs super smooth, has a great camera, and is just an overall masterpiece.
“Fully agreed. First phone I’ve ever used that I have no real complaints about. Several coworkers who tried it are thinking of making the switch,” responds Drake Richter.
Judging by initial sales, the Note 7 is shaping up to be another huge hit for Samsung. Last week, Fortune reported that sales are though the roof.
“Tech giant Samsung said on Wednesday stronger-than-expected demand for the new Galaxy Note 7 is causing supply constraints globally, suggesting strong initial sales for the premium device.”
According to Samsung, sales results for the Galaxy Note 7 have been far more than the company expected. Because of this, its release date in some markets has been adjusted.

2016 was a make-it-or-break-it year for Samsung, and the Korean company ended up exceeding expectations in every way possible. First came the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which fascinated critics and unlike last year’s S6 and S6 Edge, sold very well. Now comes the Note 7 which may be an even bigger hit.
Samsung is also finally helping the mobile virtual reality market take off with their new and improved Gear VR. PC Magazine gives the new Gear VR four stars and claims that it is functional, accessible, and affordable, and that anybody who has a Samsung-compatible phone should give it a shot.
Samsung will face stiff competition from Apple in the coming weeks with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, judging by the early criticism of both phones, Samsung may not have anything to worry about.
