Miley Cyrus Battles Adam Levine On ‘The Voice,’ Annoys Gwen Stefani By Flirting With Blake Shelton

Miley Cyrus is known for going from her Hannah Montana days to her wild child and “Wrecking Ball” song era. And now, even though Cyrus has supposedly settled down with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth (well, sort of) she’s already acting out on The Voice by staging her own battle rounds with another coach, Adam Levine, an insider told Radar Online.

Adam and Miley are bringing new drama to The Voice this season, and it’s not the kind of excitement that the producers plan for, according to the insider. At 37, Levine is an experienced coach on the show, while 23-year-old Cyrus is one of the new coaches in the line-up.

But rather than turn to Adam for guidance and show deference to his experience, Miley behaves as if she’s in charge, added the source.

“Miley showed up like she owned the place and Adam seems just really tired of her interjecting every single time he is speaking!”

The Voice singing competition is designed to pit one coach against the other, with each vying to get the best contestants and then mentor those contestants to the final round to score the coveted win. But Cyrus and Levine allegedly are taking that battle format to a new level.

“Adam and Miley are at each other’s throats this season and Adam acts like he cannot stand her,” revealed the insider. “He does not talk to her when the cameras are not rolling, and seems like he really wants nothing to do with her.”

Although Radar claims that Levine has had issues with several other new coaches on previous seasons of The Voice, his battle with Cyrus “is different,” according to the source. Moreover, while he’s battling with Miley, Adam is befriending the other new coach, Alicia Keys. But he reportedly has a secret reason for making pals with the 35-year-old.

“Alicia has taken Adam’s side in his stance against Miley,” shared the source. “They have kind of made a pact to help each other out and side with each other to make sure that Team Miley does NOT win this season!”

Levine isn’t the only one reported to have issues with Coach Cyrus on The Voice. Country crooner Blake Shelton, who is the other experienced coach on the singing competition, is giving his girlfriend Gwen Stefani something to worry about because of Miley’s flirting, according to a source cited by Hollywood Life.

Stefani is allegedly so annoyed by Cyrus that the guest list for her wedding, scheduled for Christmas, includes all of the coaches with whom Blake has worked in the past except for the “Wrecking Ball” singer. That means Levine, Pharrell Williams, 43, and Christina Aguilera, 35, are among the privileged attendees, while Cyrus is left out in the cold.

Why the exclusion? Gwen is reportedly anxious that Miley “will charm Blake with her famously sexy style and flirtatious personality as they film the show,” claims Hollywood Life. With Stefani no longer a coach, she is allegedly feeling “jealous,” and concerned that Cyrus might interpret her boyfriend’s friendly ways as something more than just a gesture that a platonic pal would make, according to the insider.

“[Shelton] is friendly to everyone, and Gwen wants to make sure that Miley doesn’t misinterpret that as something else.”

By not inviting Cyrus, Stefani can ensure that the 23-year-old singer “stays in her lane and doesn’t get flirty with Blake,” added the source.

So is there anyone with whom Miley is bonding on The Voice? Despite the report cited above claiming that Keys is siding with Levine against Cyrus, Miley and Alicia are described as having a “love fest” on the show by E News.

It’s girl power time, according to E News‘ version of the coach relationships, with an audience member telling E that the two female coaches are becoming solid pals.

“Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus seem to have become super close during their time together on the show,” revealed the viewer. “During some of the performances, Miley and Alicia would look at each other and smile, nod, or grab hands.”
