Cameron Diaz Is How Old Today? Why She Thinks Older Women Are Beautiful, And Her Advice To Her Younger Self

Cameron Diaz sure knows how to enjoy a weekend while looking casual and stylish at the same time, according to the Daily Mail. The 44-year-old Sex Tape actress recently stepped out for lunch in Beverly Hills and she couldn’t have looked more beautiful in that sundress.

Cameron Diaz opted for an orange sundress, which she complemented with slip-on sandals and a pair of gold dangle earrings. What woman wouldn’t take advice from such a stylish, beautiful, and successful Hollywood star?

Cameron Diaz recently did an interview with InStyle, in which she shared a few secrets about beauty and age, and she opened up that her peers used to make fun of her in the school. Earlier this year, the actress released a book titled The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time.

In the interview, Cameron Diaz admitted that beauty is not something you were born with, it’s something you “grow into.” The actress added that as women get older they become more self-possessed.

“There is a sense of ‘I’ve been there. I’ve done it. I’ve learned. I’ve failed. I’ve succeeded. And I’m still pushing through, and I am not afraid to say it.'”

Cameron Diaz is 44-years-old and has no children, although the actress has previously indicated that she wants to start a family with her husband, Benji Madden, whom she married last year.

Cameron Diaz believes older women have a deeper understanding of who they are, which is why their beauty “really comes from within.” Diaz also added that “beauty” can be seen in women’s gestures, the way they hold their bodies, and even in the way they dress.

“They wear things that make them feel comfortable; that represents who they are. They are not trying to dress like everybody else.”

But that’s not the only indication that women improve with age, Cameron Diaz thinks. The actress also believes that older women don’t apologize all the time, as they have more respect for themselves and they are more open to being vulnerable.

“There is something really beautiful about being strong enough in who you are to allow yourself that freedom. I’m just learning it myself.”

When asked if she had periods in her life when she felt less self-assured, Cameron Diaz shared that she had problems with weight when she was younger. She was so skinny her peers at school used to call her “Ethiopia” and “Skeletor,” Diaz confessed. Those names got under her skin, and Cameron Diaz felt very insecure about her body to the point that she was embarrassed to show off certain parts of it. But that period of her life taught the actress a lesson: she realized she needed to show people that she was “strong” and “capable.”

Cameron Diaz thought people would associate her scrawniness with frailty, so she started proving them wrong.

“I would be like, ‘I can pick you up,’ that was my move. And then I would pick the biggest boy up off the ground. It’s how I defended myself.”

Cameron Diaz also admitted that it was her friends who supported her, but instead of revealing to them that she was hurt, she said, “I wish I had a butt like yours.” And apparently, it helped! It was the motivation that allowed the actress go through that period.

When asked if there is any piece of advice she would give to her younger self, Cameron Diaz said it would probably be “It will get better.”

“Just keep your eyes open, your heart open. Listen, learn, and never stop growing.”
