Justin Bieber And ‘Decompressing’ Selena Gomez Still Have ‘Feelings’ For Each Other?
Justin Bieber, pop prince, and Selena Gomez, pop princess, provided a magical romance for their fans. But now, in the wake of their split followed by the Biebs’ dating one woman after another, their recent spat on Instagram has left followers wondering if the days of Jelena are forever gone. Do they still have feelings for each other, and while the “Sorry” singer has been seen with yet another new gal pal, where’s Selena in the wake of shading her ex and then apologizing?
Gomez has headed home to Texas for a needed break to “decompress,” according to Hollywood Life‘s insider.
After pouring her heart into her Revival Tour and then dealing with the emotional overload from her public battle on Instagram with Justin, Selena allegedly feels it’s time to unplug.
“Selena has been using the end of her tour break to recharge at home in Dallas,” revealed the insider.
And since her most recent experience on social media ended with her attempts to apologize to Bieber, the pop princess also is trying to avoid social media completely, according to the source.
“She has been largely unplugged and taking a break from social media…keeping things simple and cutting out all the excess noise in her life.”
Gomez allegedly has turned to her pals as well as family to help her heal her war wounds from her battle with the Biebs. Up next on her “Revival Tour” is an international whirlwind of performances. As a result, the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer knows she needs to recover for that next phase of her career. And right now, dealing with the romantic aspect of her life reportedly doesn’t figure into her plan.
But even though Selena is trying to keep her mind off men such as Justin Bieber, can she succeed from thinking about the days when Jelena reigned as the golden couple?
Page Six cites a source who claims that it’s not just Selena trying to cope with letting go of the Jelena era. Justin reportedly is having problems too, because he still has feelings for Gomez and is in touch with her.
“[Bieber] was her first love, and he still has a major hold on her. If he texts her, her world stops.”
But those lingering emotions aren’t one-sided, with an insider from Justin’s side telling Page Six that the Biebs has not yet recovered from Selena. Those feelings allegedly have lingered despite the battle that the two had on social media involving his new gal pal Sofia Richie.
“They came up in this business together as sweethearts — those feelings will never go away,” added the source.

As for how those “feelings” may have been affected by their Instagram battle, Extra cites a source who claims that the Biebs isn’t such a believer in Selena anymore.
The latest round of communication between the two ex-lovers began when Justin was upset at his Beliebers’ backlash over Sofia. He threatened to leave Instagram, at which Gomez criticized him.
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol.”
Selena continued to opine that his new romance “should be special between you two only,” urging him to stop showing anger toward his fans.
Bieber reportedly threw shade back at Selena, claiming that she had used him to get attention, and the source clarified the reason.
“Justin thinks Selena is all about attention so that’s why he said that,” explained the insider. “He remembers she always brought him out to be seen with him in the beginning, especially that Vanity Fair Oscars party. She was the one who made him go out with her to that. She was always about making their relationship public and getting publicity, and he thinks that’s what she is doing now.”
