Amanda Bynes: Where’s She Been? Former Actress Reappears On Twitter
Where has Amanda Bynes been? The former actress and What I Like About You star returned to Twitter last week to post a rare notification of her recent activities. Bynes’ Twitter feed had not been updated since February before Amanda’s stream-of-consciousness tweets on Wednesday evening informing her millions of Twitter followers of her current under-the-radar schooling situation.

As reported by Vanity Fair, Amanda Bynes’ Twitter update informed her 3.4 million followers that she’s been staying busy with her education at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). In the series of three tweets posted below, Amanda apologizes to her fans for the recent lack of communication before stating that she’d recently finished her midterm exams at the California for-profit college.
Amanda’s fans hope the one-time actress is back on track. Bynes’ legion of Twitter followers expressed their well-wishes to the former Nickelodeon star following her unexpected fashion business brief. Shortly after, Amanda posted another series of tweets warning her fans about a possible Amanda Bynes impersonator on the social media network, tweeting “I really wish Twitter would take the account in question down.”
Bynes has been laying low since the drama surrounding her apparent emotional breakdown that peaked from 2012 to 2015. Amanda, one of those most productive child stars of the early-2000s thanks to roles in films like Big Fat Liar and What a Girl Wants, seemingly imploded a few years after her lead role as Holly Tyler on The WB’s What I Like About You came to an end with the show’s cancellation in 2006.
During a 2013 interview with In Touch Weekly, Amanda Bynes defended her sanity. At a time when the press was covering every aspect of Bynes’ nonsensical online ramblings and puzzling public outings, the bygone The Amanda Show actress told the publication that she isn’t crazy and pointed to toxic people in her life for labeling her as such.
“I have no clue [why people say I’m insane]. Every time I’ve heard it, it came from an ugly person’s mouth, so I don’t care.” […] “The only ones lying about me having a mental illness are people I don’t talk to.”
That same month, Perez Hilton posted a photo of a “healthy-looking” Bynes out and about in West Hollywood, California, commenting on Amanda’s rare public appearance and seemingly put-together look. The website mentioned Bynes’ continuing education at FIDM and stated that the now 30-year-old Amanda was reportedly leaving a nearby beauty salon when the paparazzi photo was taken.
In other recent Amanda Bynes news, and as also previously covered by the Inquisitr, Amanda is supposedly aiming to out John Travolta as gay. Amanda, who starred in 2007’s Hairspray with the Saturday Night Fever actor, claims to possess evidence that will expose Travolta as a “sexual predator.” John has a long history of dodging gay rumors; Bynes accused Travolta of sexual deviancy and reportedly referred to the actor’s habit of sexual harassment.
