Kendall Jenner Not Banned From Uber But Here’s How Passengers Can Be Suspended From The Uber App Forever

Kendall Jenner and Uber were in the news recently when Kim Kardashian made an appeal to Uber to lift the ban on her sister’s account. According to Us Weekly, Kim used Snapchat to make her case.

“OK Uber, we wanna know…” the 35-year-old star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians said in the Snapchat video as her face glowed with the assistance of the golden butterfly filter.

” … why did you ban me?” Jenner, 20 said finishing Kim’s question.

“Yeah, she’s suspended,” Kardashian added. “This is not fair. … so we just wanna know why was Kendall suspended? She’s literally, like, a model passenger.”

It looks like most of Kim’s frustration with the uber app had to do with the fact that she had to drive Kendall around when she had other things to do.

“And now I have to go drive Kendall around town when I have a spray tan that I have to get to and it’s already 11 o’clock at night,” Kardashian in what looked like playful exasperation. “Thank you, Uber.”

Kardashian also expressed her ‘annoyance’ on Twitter.

But it looks like the Kendall Jenner Uber ban story was blown way out of proportion. Jenner was never “banned” from the app.” Her account was temporarily suspended because of a minor issue, Entertainment Tonight reports.

“She has not been banned,” a source from the ride-share service confirmed to ET on Saturday. “It was a minor account issue that is being resolved. While it is being resolved her account was put on hold. Uber support has reached out.”

Even Kim Kardashian acknowledged that this was true.

Now that we know that Kendall hasn’t been banned. It make us wonder what can get you banned from riding around in an Uber taxi for life.

How To Get Banned from Using An Uber Cab:

According to The Observer, Uber passengers can be banned for “unsafe and inappopriate behavior.” All Uber drivers have a rating system that they can use to rate passengers, similar to what the passengers have to rate drivers.

According to Uber’s code of conduct, passengers are not allowed to have open containers of alcohol or illegal substances in their vehicles. The code also expressly forbids “aggressive behavior.” Despite the code of conduct, there are customers who have complained that they’ve been banned from the Uber app for no reason.

Bad Uber Cab Behavior:

Aggressive passengers can be a real problem for Uber drivers which is probably why it’s something that can get you banned for life from the app.

In the past, Uber drivers have been attacked by passengers.

One of the most high profile incidents of Uber driver attack happened last year, when a drunk former Taco Bell executive assaulted his driver.

As CNBC reports, Benjamin Golden former lead on mobile technologies and innovations at Taco Bell, was videotaped repeatedly slapping and pulling the hair of his Uber driver whose name is Edward Caban. Golden was eventually fired from his job at Taco Bell after the clip went viral.

Golden has since sued the Uber driver for $5 million.
