Cecil Chao Sze-Tsung’s Daughter, In A Relationship With A Woman, Inundated With Emails After $65M Dowry Offered

Businessman Cecil Chao Sze-Tsung garnered worldwide headlines when he offered $65 million to the man who would make an honest woman of his 33-year-old daughter Gigi, and the hefty sum was made available to anyone who agreed to marry the young woman.

However, Cecil Chao Sze-Tsung’s daughter is already in a committed relationship — with a woman. Gigi Chao is a University of Manchester graduate and director at her father’s successful company, and one might think the story that made worldwide headlines is one that might embarrass the successful young businesswoman.

But one might be wrong. Cecil Chao’s daughter is actually quite touched — if a bit annoyed at the emails clogging her email box — following her dad’s strange bid to reverse her sexual orientation and get her settled down with a man once and for all.

According to Gigi, offers have poured in from across the world — some, of course, with naked pics — and while it’s a lot to sort through (and kind of frustrating considering her civil commitment to the woman with whom she is in a relationship earlier this year), the businessman’s daughter says she’s ultimately flattered her dad went to such lengths to get her married off.

Cecil Chao’s daughter says:

“At first I was entertained by it, and then that entertainment turned into the realisation and conviction that I am a really lucky girl to have such a loving daddy, because it’s really sweet of him to do something like this as an expression of his fatherly love … I think the HK$500 million really came as an afterthought.”

Cecil Chao also denied his daughter’s relationship with a woman, calling rumors of the pairing false.
