Kanye West’s MTV VMA 2016 Performance — 5 Things That Could Happen Tonight

Kanye West’s 2016 MTV Video Music Awards performance has been confirmed; that’s what we know. What we don’t know is what’s going to happen during West’s VMA performance, and the suspense is killing us. But take heart Kanye West fans, you’re not the only ones in the dark. Apparently, the producers of tonight’s VMAs don’t know what the controversial Chicago rapper has in store for us either.

TMZ reports that the MTV VMA producers gave Kanye West the go ahead to do anything he wants with his four minutes of allotted stage time. But they have no idea what he plans to do. We think there are a couple of clues that indicate what Kanye could do at the VMAs tonight. Here are five things that may happen when Kim Kardashian’s husband gets on stage.

Kanye Could Recreate The “Famous” Video

West has done this before, and it was recent. As the Inquisitr recently reported, Kanye West set up an art exhibit in Los Angeles where he put the wax figures last seen in the “Famous” video on display. Wax figures bearing the likenesses of Chris Brown, Rihanna, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, Ray J, Kanye West and his wife among others, were all in bed next to each other as they were in the music video. Kim Kardashian-West attended the exhibit in a blonde wig.

This particular Kanye West video stirred up a lot of controversy, so it’s easy to imagine West incorporating it into his VMA 2016 performance.

West Could Team Up With Calvin Harris For A Taylor Swift Diss Performance

It’s no secret that Kanye West and Taylor Swift are not friends. He and Kim Kardashian outed her as a liar when they revealed, through a recorded conversation, that she knew about Wests’s lyrics about her on “Famous.” So why not team up with another artist who also seems to have beef with her, her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.

Although the Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift breakup seemed amicable at the time, the tension between them soon revealed itself on Twitter. Soon after the breakup, Taylor Swift’s team leaked the news that she wrote his hit song with Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For.” Calvin didn’t like that one bit, and seemed to think it was an effort to railroad him. As USA Today reported at the time, Harris expressed his annoyance on Twitter.

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” the British DJ and producer tweeted on July 13. “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Since Calvin Harris was recently seen partying with Kim Kardashian and mouthing the lyrics to a Kanye West song, according to E! Online, we could see an epic collaboration happening between Harris and West on the 2016 VMA stage.

He Could Give A Four-Minute Speech On His Plans For His Presidential Campaign

This sounds really out there until you remember what happened at the MTV VMAs 2015. Kanye was awarded The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, so everyone expected a big performance. Most of the recent video vanguard awardees had given one including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Beyonce.

But those celebrities aren’t Kanye West. Instead of a performance, the ‘Famous’ rapper delivered a rambling 10-minute speech that covered a wide range of topics. At the end of it, Kanye declared that he would run for president in 2020. So maybe he will use his performance this year to outline his party platform. Now that Donald Trump running for president is a real thing, anything could happen.

West Could Recite A Four-Minute Poem About McDonald’s

Kanye West’s lyrics can be very shocking as we saw with the ‘Famous’ debacle so what’s stopping him from performing a poem about McDonald’s french fries. He already has the material. As Inquisitr recently reported, West’s McDonald’s poem has already been published in Frank Ocean’s Boy’s Don’t Cry zine

Kanye Could Interrupt Someone Else’s Performance

This is really the most likely scenario. West has interrupted people at the VMAs in the past. Who can forget when he stormed Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009? We could totally see him shouting “I’mma let you finish but,” on his microphone before taking over someone else’s performance to deliver his greatest hits.

It’s the VMAs 2016, man, anything could happen.
