Watch Sri Lanka Vs. Australia Cricket Live Stream: 3rd ODI Start Time, Preview — Hosts Can Grab Series Lead Over World Champs

Coming off a rousing 82-run victory over World Cup champions Australia in the Second One Day International, Sri Lanka looks to take a commanding grip on the five ODI series when the two teams square off for a third match Sunday. The match that will stream live, and will see Australia playing for their survival without their 27-year-old captain, Steve Smith.

While Sri Lanka star Tillakaratne Dilshan has announced that he will call it quits, at least from international one-day competition, at the conclusion of the Australia tour, Smith simply decided that he needed a rest and flew home to Australia after the two teams split the first two matches of the ODI series.

Vice-Captain David Warner — who skippered the Sunrisers Hyderabad to their first Indian Premier League title earlier this year — will pilot the Australia squad the rest of the way, through three more ODI matches and a pair of T20 Internationals.

Smith’s decision caused controversy down under, with retired Australia opening batsman Matthew Hayden blasting Smith’s early vacation as “absolute horse****,” in a radio interview

Either way, Smith is gone, and Warner will face perhaps the biggest game of the remaining tour Sunday, with a loss meaning that his team would need to win the final two straight on Sri Lanka soil to come away with a series win.
