Mariah Carey’s Sister Arrested On Prostitution Charges, Police Issue Warning To Possible Johns To See A Doctor

Mariah Carey’s estranged sister, Alison A. Carey, was arrested on prostitution charges in Saugerties, New York, on Friday. The 55-year old Carey was arrested after she was busted in a sting while allegedly soliciting an undercover police officer for sex. According to authorities, anyone who may have had sexual contact with Carey recently is advised to see a doctor since Mariah’s older sister is reportedly HIV-positive.

According to the Daily Freeman, Carey was arrested after she attempted to solicit her services to an undercover cop who was posing as a client. When Alison Carey was arrested, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said that she did identify herself as Mariah Carey’s sister. Sinagra said that he confirmed her claim by searching for information about Mariah’s siblings on the internet.

The report claims that Alison, who was listed in her booking as transient, had been in Saugerties for about a week. Based on postings from an internet classifieds website, she had been soliciting her services while staying in the hotel for that week. One of the ads Carey placed even used Mariah Carey lyrics as part of her hook. The ad, as written, read as follows.

“Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you,woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its,’ITS SUCH A SWEET,SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.'”

The above ad was placed on Friday prior to Carey’s arrest. Two other ads were found on the same website on July 31 and August 15 proving that Carey had been staying in the hotel for “work.” According to Sinagra, Saugerties police were alerted about possible prostitution in the local hotel because of the ads she had placed in the adult section of the online classified website.

Sinagra was concerned about the health of anyone who may have visited Alison Carey during her local hotel tour. The Saugerties police chief suggested that anyone who had sexual contact with Carey should be seen by their doctor immediately.

Alison Carey has a history of prostitution and is HIV-positive, according to a previous report from the Daily Mail. Back in March, Mariah Carey made headlines when another sibling, Morgan Carey, reached out and asked Mariah to contact her dying sister Alison.

Morgan made a video of Alison when she had just been removed from a ventilator when her brother found out that someone had signed a do not resuscitate order for Alison while she was in the hospital. Alison Carey was described as “spaced out and slurring her words” during the film but she was aware of her identity and knew what day it was. The reason for the video was meant to reach out to Mariah Carey and to prove that Alison was alert and aware.

At the time, Alison was suffering from massive brain trauma after she was attacked during a home invasion. Already in ill health, Mariah’s sister was also reportedly a recovering drug addict and ex-prostitute who had contracted the HIV virus. Despite her poor prognosis and a video from Alison begging for her sister’s help, Mariah Carey reportedly did not come through for her oldest sibling, despite Alison’s plea, “Mariah I love you, and I desperately need your help, please don’t abandon me like this.”

Alison Carey is currently staying in the Ulster County Jail with bond set at $1,000.
