‘Big Brother 18’ Spoilers: Twitter On Fire After Paulie Calafiore’s Controversial Jury House Comments Annoy Fans

Big Brother 18 juror Paulie Calafiore can never be accused of mincing words or not telling it like he sees it, however at times, his comments are perceived as abrasive and just plain rude. Things were no different on Thursday night’s episode of Big Brother when Paulie was featured interacting with his fellow all-female jury members in an awkward war of words.

After Paulie made some controversial comments, Twitter was ablaze with fan posts regarding what was said, with some writing Paulie had become “even more awful,” and others simply expressing hatred for the Big Brother 18 evictee.

The buzz began after the August 25 episode of Big Brother 18 when Paulie was seen sitting amidst the three female jury members – Da’Vonne Rogers, Zakiyah Everette, and Bridgette Dunning – looking very uncomfortable, and somewhat bitter about being evicted from the game.

When the women expressed how excited they were about Paulie’s eviction, he called them “sore losers,” which caused Bridgette to accuse him of having an “inflated ego.” Paulie shot back with, “There’s [sic] no egos in the house….”

Da’Vonne noted she is happy with the players left in the Big Brother 18 house and wants one of them to win, but respected Paulie as a game player.

Bridgette was still heated and told Paulie, “Person to person, you’ve completely lost all my respect.” He responded with, “For someone who has no respect for any male opinion… that makes you closed minded too.”

Bridgette explained, “I truly don’t believe that I’m the only one that has the opinion about you that I do.” Paulie wrote her statement off, proclaiming he was observing the behavior of three “catty girls.”

Subsequently, the jurors sat and watched video of Paulie tanking during the Power of Veto (POV) competition and his ultimate Big Brother 18 eviction, Paulie appeared tense, but the three women were overjoyed and outwardly celebratory.

Bridgette informed Paulie that if he had made it to final two, he would not have won the grand prize because he’s “cocky,” has a “giant ego,” and has made a multitude of derogatory statements about women throughout the course of the Big Brother 18 game, including Natalie.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Paulie was prominent in coining an unflattering nickname for Natalie, “FT,” which is a crude term for fake breasts. He and some others would call her “FT” and refer to her behind her back using the term.

When Bridgette made it clear these were the reasons she does not respect Paulie, he was unable to process his missteps and told her she and the other women don’t respect someone who played a superior game – obviously referring to himself, adding they were “bitter.” The Twitter comments followed in reaction to his statements.

The episode also featured Victor Arroyo being evicted, but then being told by Big Brother 18 show host Julie Chen he had another chance to get back in the game by competing in the Head of Household (HOH) challenge.

This was the second time Victor was evicted this season and was given a chance to play again. The first time, he participated in the Battle Back competition and reentered the house to start anew after winning several challenges involving the first five evictees.

So, Thursday night, jurors went head-to-head with current houseguests in a wall endurance competition for the designation of HOH, and the juror who remained longest on the wall won entry back into the Big Brother 18 house. Whoever was left on the wall (including jurors) after every other player dropped, was crowned HOH.

As fate would have it, Victor outlasted his fellow jurors in the challenge and is now back in the game. According to Big Brother Wikia, Victor made Big Brother history as he is the first houseguest to return to the game after being evicted twice in one season.

Unfortunately for Victor, he did not stay on the wall long enough to snag Week 10 HOH, which was taken by Nicole. Joker’s Updates live feed spoilers reveal she nominated Michelle and Paul for eviction, with Michelle being the true target. Additionally, Corey won America’s Care Package, the BB Bribe, which allows him to use $5,000 to sway the game play of other houseguests.

As a result, Paulie’s chance at winning Big Brother 18 is now officially over, but with less than a month left in the game, as a jury member he will get the chance to help determine who takes the grand prize home.
