‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23 Spoilers: Producers Post Clues To Cast, Fans Solve The Puzzle

Dancing with the Stars is playing a game of “Clue,” but savvy fans are solving the puzzle regarding the Season 23 cast list. While the official Dancing with the Stars cast list will be announced next week on Good Morning America, producers are being generous when it comes to providing hints to this season’s celebrity competitors.

One of the most detailed clues came via a post on the official Dancing with the Stars Instagram page. The post hints to pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev’s partner, and the description points to only one famous former child star.

“Hint: @theartemc’s partner is a published author, released a country album, and started acting when she was 9! Who is she? #DWTS,” the caption read.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick is the obvious star behind the description. Not only did McCormick, now 60, write her memoir, Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, in 2009, but she released the country album, When You Get a Little Lonely, in 1995. In addition, four years before she landed the role of Marcia on The Brady Bunch, Maureen made her acting debut in the movie The Farmer’s Daughter in 1965 at age 9. That same year she landed a guest role on Bewitched.

And if there was any doubt about Maureen’s DWTS status, this doozy pretty much confirmed it:

The official Dancing with the Stars Instagram also includes a post about pro dancer Allison Holker’s partner. The post reveals that Holker’s partner has 11 Grammys, while a separate tweet teases that Allison and her partner will “make beautiful music together.”

Allison also gave three clues about her partner, which can be seen in the video below.

Fans have concluded that the DWTS clues point to singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmond, the musical mastermind behind the ’80s and ’90s R&B chart toppers “Every Time I Close My Eyes” and “When Can I See You.”

Less clear is the identity of the athlete behind dancer Lindsay Arnold’s clue. The Dancing with the Stars powers-that-be reveal that Arnold’s partner is “a real catch,” and a football emoji punctuates that. Nearly every season of Dancing with the Stars features an NFL star — sometimes more than one — and clearly this season is no exception. Some fans are speculating that Lindsay’s “catch” could be former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

Returning pro Emma Slater’s clue is even more baffling. Her clue features a photo of an elephant and says he’s “unforgettable.” Slater also revealed that her celeb partner is a “hoot.”

And finally, Dancing producers posted a clue about pro dancer Sasha Farber’s partner, revealing that she is “from Texas, released a song on iTunes, and is on TV every Wednesday.”

Fans are certain that hint points to new mom Terra Jole, star of Lifetime’s Little Women: LA. Jole, who is just 4 feet 2 inches, recorded the pop single “Booty Bee” in 2014, and released the nursery rhyme-themed compilation, “Penny’s Playlist,” on iTunes earlier this year.

In addition to the clues posted by Dancing with the Stars producers, longtime pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy announced that he will be returning to the celebrity ballroom competition after a four-season absence. DWTS confirmed that news on social media, but while Maks’ celeb partner hasn’t been officially announced, rumors are rampant that he is paired with model Amber Rose. A photo of Maks and Amber even popped up on social media, fueling the speculation.

Dancing with the Stars fans have been having fun trying to piece together clues to figure out which celebrities will be paired with which DWTS pro dancers.

Other stars rumored to compete on Dancing with the Stars Season 23 include Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, 7th Heaven star Beverley Mitchell, Wizards of Waverly Place actor Jake T. Austin, The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher, and General Hospital alum Emma Samms.
