Tampa Bay Rays Rookies Dress In Drag, Dance To ‘Call Me Maybe’ [Video]


If you want to play in the Major Leagues you have to work hard, stay focused, and wear a women’s leotards. The rookies on the Tampa Bay Rays put on a show for their veteran teammates earlier this week with a hilarious rendition of Call Me Maybe.

Cover versions of the Carly Rae Jepsen hit are pretty common on the internet but most of them don’t involve professional athletes. Well, not professional male athletes in women’s swimsuits.

According to USA Today, the MLB hazing video was created after the team’s 4-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday night. The rookies, including Matt Moore, Stephen Vogt, Brandon Gomes, Chris Archer, Dane De La Rosa, Jose Lobaton, Rich Thompson, Alex Cobb, Desmond Jennings and Jake McGee. were standing out in front of the Green Monster at Fenway Park.

It’s unclear if there were any fans in the stands at the time of the performance but it doesn’t really matter because the video is on the internet now for everyone to see.

So, here it is, the Tampa Bay Rookies dressed in drag and dancing to Call Me Maybe.
