Google executive Eric Schmidt wants everyone to know that Apple and Google are actually “very good partners,” despite the fact that the two companies are constantly engaged in patent wars stemming mostly from iOS and Android conflicts.

According to Schmidt Apple and Google are “literally talking all the time about everything.”

When specifically asked about ongoing patent wars by the Korean Times Schmidt didn’t go into detail but noted ”the best thing we can tell, there are plenty of prior arts and I don’t want to go beyond that.”

Google of course has said repeatedly that patent wars are stifling innovation in the mobile space, while Apple has claimed that it must vigorously protect its intellectual property rights from outside forces.

Apple has been recently engaged in patent battles with Samsung, Motorola, Google and others. In the case of Samsung more than $1 billion was awarded to Apple.

More importantly however was Schmidt’s decision on Thursday to not only meet with South Korean artist Psy and shake his hand, but to actually dance to the pop singers massive international hit Gangnam Style.

Given the fact that Apple recently booted Google Maps from iOS 6 and replaced it with their horrendous Apple Maps software it’s hard to believe that they are actually engaged partners. If you ask me I would say the two tech firms are frenemies more than they are good partners.
