Kendall Jenner Was Unwanted In Her New Neighborhood

Kendall Jenner is finally enjoying success and recognition as a fashion model, in spite of having to stand up against criticism from both the media and from the older generation of models. While it might seem that Jenner has everything she has ever wanted, she reveals that she now has to get approval to get her hair styled or trimmed. What was even more surprising to Kendall was learning from her new neighbor, Jimmy Kimmel, that the neighborhood wasn’t exactly keen on having Jenner moving into the Hollywood Hills area.

Jimmy Kimmel Live Host Says Neighbors Were “Up In Arms” Over Kendall’s Arrival

In covering Kendall’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, US Weekly reveals that the up and coming supermodel was prejudged as trouble by her new neighbors, just after she bought her new Hollywood Hills home. Kendall purchased the mansion from Emily Blunt and John Krasinski for $6 million earlier in the summer, just before Blunt and Krasinski moved to New York City with their daughters Hazel, 2, and Violet, 2 months.

Jimmy Kimmel, who lives across the street from Kendall, informed her that the rest of the neighborhood was bothered by the news that Ms. Jenner was coming into the area. Kimmel revealed to Jenner that the news of the home purchase became the subject of gossip and emails.

“There was a whole thing with emails that went on,” Kimmel said.

“No! Bad?” Jenner asked.

“Yeah!” Kimmel replied. “I mean, before you got there … The neighbors all seemed to blame me for this development.”

At this point, Kendall opened up about the drama concerning the idea that she would be leaving the nest with her mother, Kris Jenner, worrying about her moving out on her own. Kendall told Jimmy that she assured her mom she would be okay, especially because Kimmel was right across the street.

“And I was like, ‘No, you know, it’s OK. Jimmy Kimmel lives right across the street. Like, I don’t know him, but maybe if anything ever goes down, he’ll save my life.'”

“Yeah! I’m the captain of the neighborhood watch,” responded Kimmel.

Vogue Covergirl Is A Dream Come True For Kendall Jenner, But What About Her Hair?

The September issue of Vogue will be a special one for Kendall’s fans, because she’ll be gracing the cover and, as People magazine reports, the event marks Jenner’s official entry into the world of high fashion supermodels. The model says she couldn’t be happier about getting to appear on the cover and, while she might have had her hair styled and cut anyway, she reveals getting the new do was a part of the deal. The extreme change in hairstyle was something Kendall says she had been considering, so she was pleased that the people at Vogue were on the same page in that regard.

“They wanted me to! And honestly, I wanted the change, I was ready for it. I’d talked before about cutting my hair super short before.”

Kendall told Jimmy Kimmel that it was all a collaborative effort. She says they discussed ideas and Jenner shared her own thoughts, which were well received by the photographer and creative team at Vogue. However, Kendall added that there was a step in the process in which she had to get approval to go through with the new style.

“That’s weird. You realize how strange that is that you’re in a position in your life where people weigh in on your hair and what it’s going to be like, right,” asked Kimmel.

Ms. Jenner seemed pleased with the idea, realizing that a mark of having made comes when one’s look is a closely guarded treasure.
