‘The Sims 4’ Triple Boost Week Event Ongoing, Expansion And Game Packs On Sale

Another in-game event is now live in The Sims 4. Like the spring event in March, players can find Jasmine Holiday to get started with the latest event. Jasmine Holiday is back, giving players a chance to quickly improve their Sims’ skills and job performance for the duration of the event.

Players can log in right now to take advantage of the Triple Boost Week that lets Sims level their skills and career progress at three times the normal rate. The event is happening now and is available to all players for free. Simply update The Sims 4 to the latest version to see the notification of Jasmine Holiday’s return when the game is launched.

During the Triple Boost Week, Sims will earn skills three times faster than normal. Sims with base game careers will also earn triple job performance during the event according to the official site.

“So, what does this mean? Simple: from August 22 at 10am PT until August 29 at 10am PT, your Sims can gain Skills at a whopping three times the usual rate, or gain a triple Job Performance Boost for base game Careers. All they’ll need to do is head over to Jasmine Holiday (or call her on the phone) to get granted with seven in-game days of Skill or Career Boosts.”

Of course, many players of The Sims 4 will note that what the event provides can be easily accomplished through the use of supported cheats. However, players unfamiliar or unwilling to use those commands can benefit from the current event. Players that do take advantage of Jasmine Holiday’s buff can keep contacting her for additional days of the buff. The buff cannot exceed seven in-game days but Holiday can reapply the buff as many times as requested.

Although the Triple Boost Week will end on August 29, players have until August 30 to pick up discounted game packs and expansion packs for The Sims 4 from Origin. Both expansion packs, “Get To Work” and “Get Together,” are 50 percent off while the game’s three game packs are 25 percent off. Even The Sims 4 itself is discounted for a limited time at just $20. This sale includes the latest game pack “Dine Out” for $15 which released in June.

The Sims 4 continues to update with a number of different DLC packs in addition to free regular updates. Some patches simply add new in-game options like the ability for Sims to change their cell phone covers while others add completely new features like being able to hire a nanny. Just last week the former was added to the game while the latter was included last month. As the Inquisitr reported, a nanny is hired and paid by the hour in The Sims 4. The NPC will stay up with the family for up to 24 hours.

Last week’s update to the game also addressed a few bugs and issues present in The Sims 4. Sims with low hygiene will no longer become stuck in a hot tub after any type of Woohoo interaction. A handful of “Get To Work” items are now available in the build and buy modes, the frog fountain from “Backyard Stuff” now makes the appropriate water sounds, and much more. Players can view all the latest changes and patch notes on the Electronic Arts help website.

Although stuff packs for the game are not currently on sale, “Backyard Stuff” is now available. The latest stuff pack includes a Lawn Water Slide object that Sims can slip and slide on. Additionally, other new decorations, clothes, and more are part of the stuff pack. There is even a bird feeder, a set of wind chimes, and a few drink pitchers in “Backyard Stuff” perfect for Sims celebrating the summer in The Sims 4.
