Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Debuts To Fantastic Sales: Your Turn, iPhone 7

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has debuted to fantastic reviews. The Guardian is just one of the sources that loves the Galaxy Note 7.

“The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is, without doubt, the best phablet going. It’s powerful, full of useful features and little in the way of gimmicks, and provides productivity tools others simply don’t.”

The review adds that the cameras, fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, waterproofing, and screen are also top-notch. CNET gives the Note 7 four-and-a-half stars.

“The Galaxy Note 7 is a beautiful, capable Android phone that showcases Samsung’s best in design, battery life, speed and features. The 64GB base model leaves you plenty of space for photos, videos and games, and it’s a real improvement over 2015’s Note 5,” says reviewer Jessica Dolcourt.

It appears that consumers agree. The Galaxy Note 7 has only been on sale since Friday, but sales are already through the roof. Fortune has the news.

“Tech giant Samsung said on Wednesday stronger-than-expected demand for the new Galaxy Note 7 is causing supply constraints globally, suggesting strong initial sales for the premium device.”

According to Samsung, the sales results for the Galaxy Note 7 have been far more than the company expected. Because of this, its release date in some markets has been adjusted.

The Galaxy Note 7 has been very well-received on social media, especially Twitter.

After Samsung suffered three years of sales declines, the Korean company finally turned things around with sales of the Galaxy S7, and especially the S7 Edge.

“Samsung Electronics has published its full second-quarter earnings, confirming earlier guidance that indicated the company’s strongest profits in over two years. Revenue was 50.94 trillion won ($45.2 billion), up 5 percent on a year ago, while operating profit was 8.14 trillion won ($7.22 billion), up 18 percent,” The Verge pointed out, before adding that Samsung’s mobile division accounted for over half of the revenue and profit.

Samsung may have all the glory right now, but they may face stiff competition from Apple, who is going to release the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September. However, many news outlets are expressing disdain for the new iPhones. Techno Buffalo wonders if anybody is actually excited about the iPhone 7.

“From the front lines of the gadget world, it’s evident that excitement around the iPhone 7 has dwindled compared to previous launches, with our readers seemingly more excited about the latest Android releases,” claims author Todd Haselton, who notes that Apple feels obligated to release an iPhone every year even though there is no point to it.

Many of the commenters after the article agree with the author.

“Apple isn’t breaking down any barriers these days. Until they start doing so…. Nothing to really get excited about,” says Jwp1979.

“If the iPhone 7 turns out to be just like all the mockups we’ve been seeing then this is the most disappointing iPhone release since its inception. It already has more things we don’t like about it than things anyone is excited about,” claims Brad Moles before indicating that he will probably switch to the Galaxy Note 7.

It is rumored that Apple will release a revolutionary iPhone, but that will probably take place in 2018. That could be a little late to turn things around for the Cupertino-based company.

There is a little possibility that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won’t be huge disappointments. Either way, it’s good that the consumer has some good choices. Which phone would you rather have — the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus, or the Galaxy Note 7? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
