Will this slow down or hurt their efforts to save Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey)?

TVD Season 8 spoilers are ahead. If you don’t want to risk finding out what could happen, then stop reading.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the main focus of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 is going to be finding Damon and Enzo. It will also feature what the villain does to the two missing vampires. There is new information on what to expect in the upcoming season. This TVD spoiler has to do with Bonnie’s powers and magic in general.

At Comic-Con 2016, it was announced that The CW series is ending after Season 8. At that time, TV Line spoke to the executive producer and the cast of The Vampire Diaries. Season 8 spoilers were released, including if spells will be used to find Damon and Enzo. As fans recall from the season finale, Bonnie lost her powers again. This means that she won’t be able to use a locator spell to find Damon and Enzo, the two most important men in her life.

During the Season 7 finale of TVD, it was revealed that Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), Caroline Forbes (Candice King), Alaric (Matt Davis), and Bonnie will be tracking Damon and Enzo the old-fashioned way. It was hinted that they will use maps and news reports of missing people to find out where the vampires are. It is determined that they are along the West Coast. However, even if they are found quickly, can Damon and Enzo be saved?

Many fans expect the group to use magic to defeat the creature that was inside the vault. However, Plec told TV Line that their goal is to use as little magic as possible for as many episodes as they can. This means that they will have to find more “human” and “normal” ways to fight the supernatural villain on The Vampire Diaries. Season 8 spoilers also state that the vampires are not totally gone. This means that they are still inside themselves. In fact, Ian Somerhalder told TV Line that fans would explore a lot of push and pull between the vampires and the mystery monster. They are going to be forced to do things because of the new big bad.

According to Melty, The Vampire Diaries Season 8 spoilers include the executive producer teasing that there will be a high body count. Also, be prepared for Damon and Enzo to do some gruesome executions. With more than 60 people missing along the West Coast and dozens of bodies hanging in a warehouse, things do not look good for anyone in the upcoming season of TVD.

As for Bonnie, it is not known if she will ever get her magic back. It seems like she is really going to have a tough time in The Vampire Diaries Season 8. However, Kat Graham did say recently that she would like Bonnie to exit TVD being strong. From that statement, it sounds like she will start off the season in pain and overwhelmed, but perhaps she will end up being the hero, the one person who will save Damon and Enzo.

What do you think is going to happen in Season 8? If they don’t use magic, then how will they save Damon and Enzo? Can the vampires even be rescued or is it too late? Find out when The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premieres October 21 on The CW network.
