Jeremy Calvert Returns To Filming On ‘Teen Mom 2’ After Claiming The Show Ruined His Life

Jeremy Calvert is returning to Teen Mom 2 for the continuation of Season 7.

Although Calvert has been rumored to be moving on from the series, he confirmed he would be back in an Instagram video on Tuesday, in which he was seen filming scenes with his ex-wife, Leah Messer, and their daughter, 3-year-old Adalynn Faith.

“Had to surprise my baby girl today, so glad to be home and have her in my arms,” Jeremy Calvert wrote on Instagram on August 23.

Jeremy Calvert and Leah Messer parted ways in 2015, and earlier this year, Messer slammed Calvert’s parenting during the Teen Mom 2 Season 7 reunion special, during which she told Dr. Drew Pinksy that she was struggling to get Calvert involved in their daughter’s life after he moved to Ohio to be closer to his girlfriend, Brooke Wehr.

While Jeremy Calvert appeared to be on the outs with Messer during the finale episodes of Teen Mom 2 Season 7 earlier this year, his latest Instagram post hints that they are back on good terms.

As for Jeremy Calvert’s feelings toward the MTV series, he still doesn’t seem happy. In fact, just days ago, the reality star took to Instagram, where he went on a rant against the show, claiming that it has ruined his life.

“I don’t need Teen Mom in my life,” he wrote. “I was doing just fine before I knew wtf the show was and truthfully wish I’d never became part of it, the bs has completely ruined my life… yea and before ya talk s**t the money isn’t amazing and enough to live off of either.”

Around the time of Jeremy Calvert’s angry post, a source spoke out, confirming both Calvert and his fellow reality dad, Adam Lind, had basically been forced into returning to Teen Mom 2 for the series’ upcoming season.

“Both guys signed on for Season 7, and wanted out while filming last season,” a source explained to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “Neither planned to do any more episodes after that, but MTV kind of pulled a fast one on them and simply extended the season. Instead of the new season being Season 8, it is now Season 7B, which means there were no new contracts signed.”

“It’s unavoidable,” the source added. “They can’t get out of it because they already signed, knowing that it was a possibility that the season would be extended. It happened once before to the cast.”

The source went on to reveal that Jeremy Calvert was “so done” with the series and had no intentions of signing on to appear on the show’s eighth season.

“MTV keeps trying to throw money at him, but he isn’t taking it,” the source explained. “He just wants away from all the craziness that being on the show brings. Unfortunately, he has to honor the full Season 7 contract that he signed before he can be done.”

For his participation in Teen Mom 2 Season 7B, Jeremy Calvert will reportedly be getting a “pro-rated” version of his normal salary, and if he were to return to the show, he would likely receive a pay raise.

As Jeremy Calvert continues production on Teen Mom 2, rumors are swirling in regard to his upcoming wedding to Brooke Wehr. Although Calvert hasn’t officially announced his engagement, he revealed he would be marrying Wehr in a recent Instagram post. In photos shared to her account, she has been seen sporting a suspicious ring on her engagement finger.
