Donald Trump Twitter Feud: Cher Calls Him An ‘Idiot’ Who Doesn’t Want To ‘Make America Great Again’

Another potential Donald Trump Twitter feud has risen to gain public attention, once again showing the world that the real estate mogul has one of the most polarizing candidacies in U.S. history. Many who support him are willing to forgive a few poorly chosen words in exchange for what they believe he’s actually saying, while others take his words at face value and see little more than a hot-headed egotistical celebrity.

Admittedly, one of Donald Trump’s earliest Twitter feuds began with Rosie O’Donnell before he’d even announced his candidacy as the Republican option for President of the United States. She had even started it, but she revealed something about the man which many celebrities, including NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, have triggered and taken advantage of.

Trump has an unfortunate habit of falling for an internet trap called “troll bait.” This is when a famous person will ask him something or make a statement about him with the intention of getting a reaction. Donald often gives them a reaction, which is sometimes embarrassing and often hilarious in the minds of the “trolls.”

This is exactly what the “trolls” want, and it might be part of why Donald Trump became the Republican forerunner for the Presidential election. The latest celebrity to ignite a potential Twitter feud was Cher, the singer whose fame has survived the death of former celebrity lover Sonny Bono. This is partly due to her amazing voice even at the age of 70 years old.

Cher is one of the latest supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton in her run to replace Barack Obama as the Democratic President of the United States. As such, she is also an avid activist and spokesperson for the potential first female President of the U.S.

Cher’s attacks on Trump gained light as she delivered the opening words at a fundraiser in Clinton’s honor on Sunday in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Her words were so scathing it was almost like reading a series of tweets from fellow Clinton supporter Patton Oswalt. Her contribution to the Donald Trump Twitter feuds included the following photo.

The singer and actress compared Trump to Patty McCormack, “[A] consummate liar, doesn’t care who she hurts, insane.” When the crowd approved of her assessment, Cher continued by referring to a children’s book, calling Trump’s words akin to “racist fun with Dick and Jane.”

Donald Trump has been known for his almost childlike responses to “troll bait,” one of which followed an attack on his intelligence as he’d stated how “I know words. I have the best words.”

Again, Trump might not be the greatest speaker under pressure, having said many things in the past which were translated into blanket statements against women, Mexicans, blacks, and Muslims. His intentions may have been good enough, but his choice of words didn’t reflect it.

Cher even shared her concern for the LGBT community in her opening speech, says Decider, reflecting on Trump’s usual choice of words.

“I’m so frightened for what’s going to happen to this particular community. I know there’s going to be other people, other minorities that are going to be totally screwed as well, but I honestly fear for your safety … He doesn’t mean we want to make America great again. He means we want to make America straight and white.”

While Cher didn’t say these things on the social media site, she will undoubtedly fuel another Donald Trump Twitter feud with her words. The Republican candidate is not known for taking attacks lightly, even having called people out as “losers” for doing so.

It looks like Rosie O’Donnell might be adding Cher to her verbal ammunition in an upcoming Donald Trump Twitter feud.
