‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Spoilers: What Happens In Episode 5 ‘Honeymoon Pt. 2’

Married At First Sight Season 4 returns with an all-new episode this Tuesday, August 23. According to the latest spoilers and official synopsis for the hit FYI series, newlyweds Tom and Lily, Nick and Sonia, and Derek and Heather will once again try to make the best out of what’s left of their honeymoon.

In Episode 5 of Married At First Sight Season 6, titled “Honeymoon Pt. 2,” the three couples will attempt to get to know more about each other.

“Tom worries about the secret he is keeping from his new wife, Lillian; Nick and Sonia discover each other’s competitive spirit; new conflicts threaten Heather and Derek’s relationship,” the synopsis read.

Tom and Lily

Tom and Lily are the only ones who decided to consummate their marriage during the honeymoon.

“Tom and I consummated our marriage last night. We’re husband and wife, it’s something that’s bound to happen and it was beautiful. I’m very happy with how everything went with Tom. Very very happy,” Lily told the camera.

The 24-year-old realtor had nothing but kind words for her new husband. Although she admitted that things are going fast between them, Lily knew that she could always count on Tom. She added that he always make her feel safe and protected. The Married At First Sight Season 4 star also believed they had a higher chance of making it compared to other couples, saying that they were matched by the experts for a reason.

“Everything is like a fairy tale right now it just seems perfect. I couldn’t have imagined a better case scenario. I have started thinking about me and Tom beyond six weeks, beyond this experiment. I see myself falling in love with him.”

Nick and Sonia

While Nick and Sonia may not be on the same level as Tom and Lily, the second Married At First Sight Season 4 couple is enjoying their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. They may not have consummated their marriage just yet, but both Nick and Sonia admitted that they were attracted to each other. They also believed that the experts did a good job at matching them.

Sonia seemed genuinely happy to be exploring paradise with Nick. On the other hand, the 32-year-old vacation rental manager made it clear that he wanted to take things slow. Although he found Sonia “very pretty,” Nick explained that he wanted to get to know her better before taking the plunge.

“We clicked I know for sure. I know eventually it could develop into something more but now I’m just feeling it out, see where it goes. I’m a little introverted, I am pretty quiet and shy and awkward at times, but I like her a lot because she’s really pretty and I think the experts did a pretty good job matching us up. I do like Sonia so far and I think Sonia likes me so far too.”

Derek and Heather

If there’s one couple this season who is clearly having a hard time adjusting to married life, it would be Derek and Heather. In the last episode of Married At First Sight Season 5, she decided to tell Derek how uncomfortable she was with the whole smoking situation.

“I’m upset. I feel like there are some things that are very diff about us. The amount of smoking- that’s a huge concern. It’s been everyday, Derek and I’m concerned, really concerned about that. I really want to fall in love. I want to create a life with somebody but what you’re doing … I am so turned off. It shouldn’t be like this. That to me is a real red flag,” she explained.

Derek tried to explain that this was not his typical behavior, saying that he only smoked every day because he was on vacation. Heather, however, kept going on and on about how upset she was, which frustrated Derek.

“You’re saying the exact same thing which to me means you’re not wiling to compromise. You don’t wanna talk about everything … If you can’t accept me for the person that I am and you cant look past that … then I’m just talking to the wall then.”
