‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Adam Asks Nick For Help, Nikki Questions Victor, And Chelsea Rages As Dylan Struggles

What is on the way with Tuesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless? Spoilers share that there will be plenty of action related to Adam and his surprising plea in court. After hallucinating and assaulting a guard, Michael urged his client to plead not guilty due to insanity. When the time came, however, Newman declared that he was pleading guilty. Where are things headed in the August 23 show?

Chelsea will immediately protest her husband’s guilty plea, but Young and Restless spoilers from SheKnows Soaps note that he will insist that he is staying with this plea. The judge admonishes Chelsea as she tries to intervene and the sentencing is set for the following day.

Everybody buzzes outside of the courtroom, with Chloe talking to Kevin about how Newman may not think he deserves to be free. Nick blasts Victor, asking if he’s happy now, and Nikki tries to calm things down between them. The Young and the Restless spoilers detail that Nick will continue to point out Victor’s evil deeds and Victor will head back into the courtroom to tear into Michael.

Chelsea becomes furious with her father-in-law for blaming Michael and Newman tries to shift blame and swears he will ensure that his son regains his freedom. Victor will call Leslie again, and the Young and Restless spoilers tease that he will admit a bit of concern to Nikki.

Nick will visit his brother at Walworth and apologize for not standing behind him previously. He urges Adam to push back against their father, but Adam thinks that he needs to pay for the assault on the guard. As Nick asks what he can do to help his brother, Young and Restless spoilers note that Adam asks Nick to be a father to Connor.

While Nick will try to persuade his brother to stay in Connor’s life from behind bars, Adam insists that Connor needs more. Nick wonders why Adam wouldn’t choose Jack, but Adam says that it needs to be a Newman and someone who can lead Connor to be independent and manage Victor. The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Adam will note that these are things they both would have wanted for Christian, and this comment perplexes Nick a bit.

The two men will continue to talk about the situation, with Adam mentioning how his brother’s style of parenting reminds him of his mother. While Nick is resistant at first, We Love Soaps details that he will agree to step in, and things get emotional as he says he would be honored to take on the role for Connor. Later, Michael visits his client and is promptly fired.

People throughout Genoa City will be buzzing about the case, as Stitch will tell Dylan and Abby that the guard’s condition is dire. The Young and the Restless spoilers detail that they will talk about how Adam should never have been behind bars at all, and they know that the attack was not a conscious decision on his part. They soon learn about the plea in court and worry that soon the charges could shift to murder.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Dylan will struggle over how long it took to find the diary pages, and Abby figures out that he believes that Victor was behind all of this. She isn’t convinced, but Stitch will tell her that he suspects that Dylan is correct. Abby will head to Newman Enterprises and find Victor and Nikki, and they all discuss the situation.

Victor is adamant that he will take care of things, and as Nikki walks Abby out, Abby questions whether she really believes Victor. The Young and the Restless spoilers share that Nikki remains adamant that her husband didn’t engineer this, and she insists that the family needs to stick together.

Afterwards, Nikki will confront her husband, telling him that she did defend him to both Nick and Abby, but she questions him about whether he really did do it. The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that he will simply make a comment about how everybody makes mistakes, and Nikki is stunned to realize that he did indeed frame his son for murder. However, she remains sure that he’ll find a way to fix things.

Chloe and Chelsea head back to the penthouse and Young and Restless spoilers detail that Chelsea will rage about Adam being framed for a murder he didn’t commit. She says that whoever is behind this is as guilty of the assault as Adam is, and Chloe notes that she thinks Adam is looking to be punished. Chelsea continues to rant, and Nick soon arrives to tell her about his visit at Walworth. Nick spends some time with Connor as Chloe takes Chelsea upstairs.

Dylan will be intent on finding Bethany, sure that she is the key to figuring out who framed Adam. However, Young and Restless spoilers note that Kevin cautions him that nailing Victor could cause Nikki to unravel, and Dylan will certainly have to consider how this could impact his mother.

Will Dylan ultimately back away from the investigation to spare Nikki? Will Adam be staying behind bars for decades, despite being innocent of the initial charges? The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that there are wild moments on the way and fans will not want to miss where things head next.
