Bride Wars: Katy Perry, Taylor Swift Racing Down The Aisle?

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have had “Bad Blood” over backup dancers and, possibly, John Mayer. Are the feuding pop stars really trying to race each other down the aisle?

It would make sense that the couples would be in a race to get married. Both pop stars met their British boyfriends shortly after ending their relationships with fellow artists Calvin Harris and John Mayer. In addition, both Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have been seen traveling around the world with their boyfriends after a few short months of dating.

Over the weekend, rumors swirled that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were talking about their futures together. It looks like the couple is ready to say “I do.” According to a report via E! News, Perry, 31, and Bloom, 39, have been talking about marriage and kids. A source told the outlet that they could be headed for the altar later this year.

“They are in love and happier than ever. [Orlando] would like to get engaged to [Katy] before the year is up.”

The Lord of the Rings star is already the father to 5-year-old Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, who is ready to walk down the aisle with Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel. The insider insists that Kerr’s engagement has nothing to do with Bloom’s move to get serious with Perry.

“He has been over her for some time and [is] ready to begin his life with Katy,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Perry could be in a race with Swift, who’s getting super-serious with Tom Hiddleston. Perry is hoping for a second chance at marriage and happiness since her divorce from comedian Russell Brand in 2011, according to the source.

“[Marriage and children] is something Katy has always wanted when she met the man she was ready to settle down with.”

Another source told People that although the couple is”not engaged yet,” things certainly seem “to be heading that way.” Apparently, Bloom has been falling deeper in love with Perry ever since their sexy Italian beach getaway earlier this month.

“He would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids. He hasn’t been this serious about a girl since [ex-wife Miranda Kerr].”

Perry still has a say in this relationship. People’s source claims that the singer is not ready for marriage and kids as her divorce took an emotional toll on her.

“Katy’s divorce from Russell really messed up her emotionally. She’s not ready to rashly make a huge commitment like marriage again unless she thinks it’s absolutely right,” an alleged friend close the singer told the outlet.

So, if Katy Perry is not ready to marry Orlando Bloom, does that mean her arch nemesis will marry Tom Hiddleston? Not necessarily. There have been conflicting tabloid reports about the current status of the singer’s relationship with her new man. An alleged source told In Touch that Swift, 26, stumbled upon a ring inside Hiddleston’s drawer, she’s hesitant to get married.

“She feels bad because she’s the one who originally told Tom she wanted to get married, but not she isn’t sure what she wants. She ruined the whole surprise, which left Tom upset for obvious reasons. But he was also crushed that she was telling him she wanted to wait.”

Even though the couple has only dated since June, Hiddleston, 35, is ignoring his friends and family to get serious so fast. Hiddleston even gave Swift “an ultimatum about getting engaged.” Swift will have to decide by the end of August if she wants to get engaged or leave Hiddleston for good.

However, Gossip Cop has since denied the tabloid story. A reliable source told the outlet that the report was “made up.” This comes after another tabloid story published on Life & Style and Celebrity Dirty Laundry that Swift is pressuring the Night Manager star to marry her. She has been feeling the pressure since her BFF Abigail Anderson is engaged, and she attended another one of her childhood friend’s weddings last year.

As always, Gossip Cop has since denied that report since it has questionable facts and no sources to back it up. Only the reports about Bloom and Perry getting serious are somewhat reliable, while Hiddleswift has been reduced to gossip and tabloid fodder.
