Maci Bookout On Her ‘Teen Mom’ Wedding: ‘I Don’t Really Care’

Maci Bookout has been begging Taylor McKinney for years to get down on one knee and propose to her. Ever since she got pregnant with Jayde a few years ago and they moved in together, Maci has been telling him just how badly she wants an engagement ring. That engagement ring and proposal will come on this season of Teen Mom, which starts tonight on MTV. But surprisingly, Bookout just wanted the ring. She doesn’t really care about planning the actual wedding, something that may be important for Taylor. If it was up to Maci, the two may just head down to the courthouse to sign the papers, as she doesn’t really care about all of the wedding details.

According to a new Radar Online report, Maci Bookout is now revealing that wedding planning is not something she really enjoys. In fact, it sounds like Bookout has been pushing the wedding planning away, as she hates it. Some tabloids predict that Maci and Taylor won’t make it down the aisle since she hates the wedding planning and doesn’t care about how it actually looks.

“Planning is going well, but I absolutely hate it, to be honest,” Maci Bookout revealed in an interview with People magazine, according to Radar Online, adding, “It’s just a lot to do, even with a wedding planner.”

Fans of Teen Mom may be surprised to learn that Maci has already picked out her colors for the event. She does seem more like a backyard BBQ with friends and family – and lots of beer – kind of girl. But since this is also Taylor’s wedding, Bookout may have to turn up the wedding charm. Maybe he wants the flowers and everything that comes with a traditional wedding because Maci is planning and working through this nitty gritty details – and hating it.

“I’m the type of person that I don’t really care about all the decorations and flowers and stuff,” Maci Bookout revealed in the interview, adding, “There are just so many little details that it can be quite overwhelming! The color scheme is a burgundy and a color that I like to call dusty blue, it’s kind of like a grayish blue color. And the ceremony itself and reception are going to be very traditional.”

Maci hasn’t explained what role her three children will play in the wedding. Bentley, Jayde and young Maverick may just be in the audience with her parents during the nuptials. Maybe Bentley will feel more comfortable taking care of his siblings. It is surprising that Bookout is getting so much wedding planning done considering she now has to take care of three children.

“It’s been pretty chaotic, but we’re having fun,” Maci explains of having three children, one of which she shares with ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, adding, “Having three children is actually a lot harder than me or Taylor expected it to be, but we’ve been having a blast. We’re just living it up!”

No word on whether this wedding will be filmed for Teen Mom. Several other weddings have been filmed in the past, so it is possible that these two will choose to have the wedding filmed. Maci is thankful for the support she’s received from Teen Mom fans, including those from 16 & Pregnant.

“Just knowing our friends and family, and how happy they are for us that we’re getting married, it was important for us… to share it with our fans too,” she explained, according to The Stir, adding, “Especially the longtime fans who have been following the show since 16 and Pregnant.”
